Caldas Novas Airport (SBCN), Brazil; corrected ramp lights version. The new airport with fidelity to the real one. By Rafael Carelli.
Screenshot of Caldas Novas Airport Scenery.
This FSX Scenery was developed by Rafael Carelli (Zaza) as a freeware for FSX, using, mainly, default objects. Using real data sources such as Jeppesen, DECEA, Google Earth and personal photos. Look for SWKN in the Airport Menu.
Caldas Novas is today widely used by general aviation due to the attractions of the "Hot Thermal Waters" and its ecotourism. The airline operations are limited to charter flights, especially during the summer.
The airport has the second steepest GNSS approach of Brazil where it operates 737 aircraft and Airbus A319/20 with 3.42º ofTCDA for runway 09. (first is Vitoria SBVT with 3.5º on Rwy05). The limit for this category of aircraft (C) is 3.6º. The PAPI is properly inserted with 3.27º as the real one.
Look for SBCN in the Airport MENU (not SWKN, the old one), and good flights!
Installation:
1 - Extract the files "SBCN - Caldas Novas (Zaza v1.0). zip" and paste it into the "Addon Scenery" in Microsoft Flight Simulator X.
2 - Place the files "fx" inside the folder "SBCN - Caldas Novas (Zaza v1.0) / effects" into the effects folder of FSX. Overwrite if prompted.
3 - Put the files "bmp" inside the folder "SBCN - Caldas Novas (Zaza v1.0) / effects / texture" into the effects/texture in FSX. Overwrite if prompted.
4 - Start FSX and activate the scenery in Scenery Library, browsing to Addon Scenery/folder containing the other two subfolders (Scenery and Texture).
5 - Restart the simulator (this is the more correct procedure) and good flights!
Special thanks to:
