Editorial
Looking for an easy way to enjoy a proper high definition take on Midway Island in FS2004? Then this is just for you. It’s an easy to use and effective mod of the region that does a great job in making sure you get plenty of fun out of coming here.
Scenery packages always do a big thing for improving the overall atmosphere and enjoyment of using FSX for me, and since I was a huge fan of this mod in the past and when I came online to see that v2.0 was out, I just knew that I had to try it out.
First off, there is a big change in this mod to the overall scenery in this little Pacific Ocean island. It looks brilliant, with fresh changes and improvements being added in which are in line with the limitations within FS2004.
Not only does this make it easier for you to see the individual detail and unique nature of the island but I felt that it also looked fresher and cleaner than it had in the past.
Indeed, the various forms of coral reefs are drawn on the basis of using specific NASA satellite imagery. These look excellent and provide a simple and effective way for you to have access to a genuinely authentic take on this part of the world.
The scenery has around 100km visibility so you can see it all at once, making it easy for you to make the most of the new additions. So long as you use the Long Visual Range feature then you should have no problem seeing faraway islands on the horizontal line.
It’s these little things that make such a major difference for me and I would thoroughly recommend that users of FS2004 improve their experience by adding this into the equation. It’s a well-designed take on a very impressive island, with so much work and commitment included throughout this.
