Shockwave 3D Lights REDUX casts realistic light out into 3D space, creating stunning visuals and a more immersive flying experience.

A significant portion of the flights that we undertake when flying in a simulator will be at night time whether it’s by choice or through the mission that we go with. The problem that this creates, however, is that simulation at night can be quite challenging.

Lighting quality isn’t quite at the stage it could be and a lot of the time it can be like you’ve slightly adjusted the brightness of the screen instead of a realistic and enveloping lighting style. Well, this mod totally transforms the way that lighting works when landing so that you have clear visibility, as well as access to some truly stunning effects.

3D lights

Given that this works perfectly fine with all of the default aircraft, you simply need this; now you can fly in the normal aircraft without any problems or worries whatsoever, taking full control of the sky in the most realistic manner possible. Now, instead of sticking with the basic and rather dull models that really do make it hard to see where you are in the skies you can rely upon the clear and easy to follow lighting scheme created by this.

A big chance for the Redux addition, though, is that it now works with all Acceleration aircraft that were included with the expansion. This makes it much easier to take off and land using these new and improved aircraft, too, and naturally this can play a big part in increasing your enjoyment of the normal aircraft, as well. Best of all, though, this has total compatibility with any and all third party aircraft so you can easily blend this in with your general FSX usage and get to enjoy a truly stunning rage of realistic, genuine lighting that matches the kind of output that you need if you want to make a flight successfully and safely.

Also new to the Redux edition by A2A is the fact that various new runway lights, strobe lighting, beacon lights and navigation lights have all been made from scratch. These carry the same stunning attributes of the original and this makes it very easy to fly aircraft from here on in. without the usual challenges that can come from trying to land at night, with the help of these new lighting systems getting around even in the darkest hours of the morning will be so much easier than it is if you decide to use the original lighting systems.

Vintage, halogen, modern and xenon lights are all included now, too, so that you get a lovely range of lighting systems to pick from that you can put to good use more or less right away! These stunning details really will amplify the ease at which you can get down to the ground and how easy you can find flying at night. The most important thing to remember, though, is that with these lights you get the more important thing of all when using a flight simulator – a genuine source of realism that gives you the total experience.

  • Over 40 new lighting effects including strobes, beacons, navigation, and runway lights
  • Fully-realized 3D landing lights actually cast light into space
  • Microsoft Acceleration Expansion pack supported
  • Vintage, halogen, and modern xenon lights included
  • Installs into all twenty-four Microsoft FSX aircraft
  • Entire new effects suite results in stunningly realistic night time environment
