Editorial

Do you ever try and land at some of the busier parts of the world and find they are just too hectic, too busy? If you ever end up in this position then you should definitely consider using something like AISmooth. It works perfectly with FSX regardless of the version and it can be a life-saver for those with low to mid-level machines. The system itself works by creating a better level of consistency at airports to reduce the frame drops that you suffer when you come to an airport with AI there.

This will severely limit the level of go-arounds that you see from AI traffic which is obviously very useful. This saves an excess build-up that requires more and more memory, eventually dragging the whole performance down to a crushing halt. To avoid this and to get the help that you need in understanding just how to get your FSX simulator running properly without all of the usual stutters and stops around the bigger airports, you should definitely consider using this.

It helps to manage the amount of incoming traffic for you and ensures that performance can reach a more consistent, balanced level. There is nothing more annoying than flying into an airport and watching the whole place come down to a crawl that makes it more or less impossible to go any further or to get anything done. When these happen, you can see a consistent and solid level of improvement from using AISmooth.

I deliberately tried it out on a rater weak machine and was massively impressed at the collective detail it manages to instill in the whole image. When it all comes together properly, it looks outstanding and manages to provide a rather awesome looking service that really helps bring everything together expertly.

When it’s all put together and runs like this you’ll soon find that things are much more impressive than previously. Bigger airports no longer need to be avoided and settings can be run at a more impressive standard as this does such a good job at just cutting out a lot of the nonsense that can occur when you fly into airports.

AI mods are always very useful in FSX as the AI can be a bit basic at the best of times, so using this can really help you get the level of quality that you need. Now you can start flying to all of the different parts of the world and seeing a more realistic and enjoyable representation of the business of an airport going on in front of you. Instead of being the usual slow and steady way that it can be, this mod helps to mitigate performance drops and make the whole thing far more balanced.
