FSX Cranbrook Airport Scenery Update

Cranbrook Airport (CYXC) scenery update refreshes runway layouts with the latest extensions while keeping original turnarounds for smaller aircraft, improving realism for departures and arrivals in Microsoft Flight Simulator X. Requires Vern Opperman’s Cranbrook Airport scenery and the earlier FSX patch, then updates the airport BGL for accurate airfield geometry.

Update to my FSX Patch for Vern Opperman’s FS2004 Cranbrook Airport (CYXC)

An update to incorporate a subsequent runway extensions at Cranbrook Airport, to be applied to my FSX patch (cyxc_FSX.zip) for Vern Opperman’s scenery for Cranbrook Airport (CYXC). The original turnarounds have been left in place for the benefit of small aircraft.

The attached file “CYXC_ADE_VO.BGL” makes these changes; please move this file into your Cranbrook scenery file and remove the file “CYXC_ADE_PNG.BGL” already there.

Requires dependencies

This add-on may require the following files to function properly. If this is a repaint, the dependency below is likely the base aircraft package.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
  3. Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
