FSX Nancy V2 Scenery

Nancy–Essey Airport (LFSN) and the wider Nancy, France area get a major v2 refresh with a redrawn landclass, two rooftop hospital helipads, and over 150 custom city buildings for convincing VFR landmarks. Around the airfield, 80 bespoke models, static traffic, and animated life such as flags, vehicles, birds, and windsocks enhance FSX.

Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

Nancy, France, version 2. Major update of v1 of LFSN airport landclass redraw, extended to the whole urban area and beyond.

Two helipads added on top of city hospitals, the town has more than 150 custom buildings, VFR flight should be familiar to local real pilots. The airport has 80 custom models and 300 library objects, static planes, cars, etc.

Animated objects: flags, vehicles, peoples, birds, windsocks. Four VAC charts included. Works with FSX and FSXA.

INSTALLATION:

  1. Extract the archive in a temp folder.
  2. Move the LFSN folder (and all its contents) where you are used to store your add-on sceneries.
  3. Move the Effects folder (and all its contents) to your main FSX installation folder. Merge them.
  4. Start FSX and declare the scenery in the scenery library. You're done.

UNINSTALLATION:

  1. Delete the LFSN main folder (you should remember where you installed it, shouldn't you ?).
  2. Remove the scenery from the scenery library inside FSX.
  3. In your FSX/Effects folder, delete the following files: fx_lfsn_hapi.fx, fx_lfsn_redflash.fx, fx_lfsn_redsteady.fx, fx_lfsn_redsteadysmall.fx, fx_lfsn_yellowhelipadsteady.fx, fx_lightObsRedSteadyEmitting.fx, fx_lightOrangeSteadyEmitting.fx.
  4. In your FSX/Effects/texture folder, delete the file GroundSpotLight.bmp. You're done.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

    Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.

  3. Activate in Scenery Library

    In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

    Absolutely amazing detail! I can't believe this was done way back in 2012! It even has birds flying around the airport! Love it!
