Can DCS World run on an M-series Mac?
There is no reliable, supported way to run DCS World locally on a Mac with Apple silicon. These Macs cannot boot Windows through Boot Camp, while virtual machines normally run the ARM edition of Windows and must translate both DCS's x86-64 code and its DirectX graphics calls.
Rosetta does not solve this because it translates Intel-based Mac applications, not Windows executables. A virtual machine or compatibility layer may reach the launcher on some configurations, but graphics rendering, module protection, updates, USB controllers and multiplayer integrity checks can still fail. Even when it starts, performance is not a sound basis for purchasing DCS modules.
Can you stream DCS World to a Mac?
DCS World can be displayed and controlled on a Mac by streaming it from a capable Windows PC. The Windows computer performs the simulation and rendering; the Mac only receives the video and returns control inputs.

Choose a native Mac simulator if you do not have a suitable Intel Boot Camp installation or separate Windows PC. These alternatives do not reproduce DCS World's detailed combat aircraft and weapon systems, but they avoid the instability and performance loss of trying to force DCS through virtualisation.
