AFCAD For KATL Update

Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (KATL) v1.2 AFCAD refresh improves ground realism by preventing road traffic from crossing runway 28 and its taxiway, with refined exclusions so roads no longer show beneath the pavement, matching the real-world tunnel layout. Built with Airport Design Editor, it requires KATL_2011_ETI.ZIP for FSX.

This is not a terribly comprehensive update, but it solves a problem that had been bothering me since the original release.

  • Road traffic will no longer cross runway 28 or the associated taxiway. Also, I have adjusted the exclusion so that the roads don't appear beneath it, either (there are tunnels in real life, so the roads aren't visible from the surface.

That's all!

To install, just copy the file 'KATL_ADEX_ETI_CVX' and paste it into the folder 'KATL_ETI' (or wherever you have placed the original AFCAD). When it asks to overwrite, say yes.

REQUIRES 'KATL_2011_ETI.ZIP'

Created with Airport Design Editor v. 1.50.

Requires dependencies

This add-on may require the following files to function properly. If this is a repaint, the dependency below is likely the base aircraft package.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D AFCAD file
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place AFCAD file

AFCAD files (AF2_*.bgl or AFX_*.bgl) go into FSX\Addon Scenery\Scenery\ or a dedicated AFCAD folder you create.
  3. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
