This freeware repaint package offers a meticulously detailed Aeropostal livery for the McDonnell Douglas MD-83 in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004, requiring the base SGA MD83 model (available in the Fly Away Simulation mod library). Created by Carlos Flores Acosta, this texture set delivers authentic “Alas de Venezuela” markings, closely reflecting the real-world legacy of Aeropostal.

Livery Highlights and Aircraft Background

This Aeropostal skin captures the distinct paint scheme once found on the DC-9-83 (also known as the MD-83). The MD-83 itself evolved from the esteemed DC-9 lineage, featuring advanced aerodynamic refinements and improved engine performance over earlier variants. Designed originally for mid-range routes, it offers balanced fuel efficiency with a characteristic T-tail and fuselage stretches keyed for higher passenger capacity. Aeropostal, a Venezuelan flag carrier, historically operated these jets on domestic and regional flights, showcasing reliable operations in South American skies.
