Douglas Boston camera and weapon effects bring the Alphasim bomber to life in FSX with tailored viewpoints for the rear gunner, bombardier, and animated bomb bay, plus refined external angles for cinematic fly-bys. Vivid gunfire and ordnance visuals enhance combat immersion while integrating cleanly into the aircraft configuration.

Patch — installs over the original

Cameras and weapon effects for the Alphasim bomber Douglas Boston. There are views for the rear gunner, for the bombardier, from the animated bomb bay plus some external views. Configuration by Erwin Welker.

Installation:

  1. Copy all the lines from the file "camera&weapons.cfg" somewhere into the aircraft.cfg
  2. Copy the Effects into the main directory of FSX
  3. That's all!

Credits:

All the weapon effects are from unknown authors. I cant't find out from whom they are. Many thanks to all of the creative persons, who do such a great work like creating gauges, effects, sounds and other stuff.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D Patch / Update

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
