Expert Overview
This scenery add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 completely overhauls Grand Canyon National Park Airport (KGCN), giving flight sim enthusiasts a more authentic experience near Tusayan, Arizona. In my tests, the improved terminal buildings, new 3D assets, and animated vehicles replaced the near-barren default environment and removed the odd chemtrail covering that once dominated the airport. Pilots now enjoy sharper taxiway alignment, updated runway markings, and carefully placed vegetation around the airport grounds, creating a more natural feel when taxiing or parking.
From a purely practical standpoint, the modifications offer a realistic gateway to the spectacular Grand Canyon region, matching scenery elements more closely to their real-world counterparts. The revamped aprons and re-textured surfaces improve immersion and highlight the care taken in blending the airport with its surroundings. Throughout my flights departing from KGCN, I found the refined layout, colorful painted lines, and enhanced performance highly beneficial for exploring the canyon from the air with confidence and ease.

?It makes a great starting point and airport to explore the Grand Canyon in MSFS (2020). This is where you want to start your flights to get as close to the Canyon as you can in MSFS.
The developer noted that the default MSFS scenery was severely lacking when it came to detail. The default airport has pretty much no buildings, taxiways that were misaligned along with a strange chemtrail image that covered the entire middle section of the airport.
The developed created this add-on to bring KGCN up to its true-to-life detail which included 3D objects which represent it. These included; 3D hangars, terminals, a full selection of animated vehicles, the roads surrounding the airfield along with trees and vegetation objects too.
Also included are fixes for the default runways and taxiways.
The developer states that while this is not a true 100% accurate representation of the airfield, they hope you will find benefit in using the scenery to make it feel more realistic in comparison to the real-word airfield within the sim.
The developer also states;
I tried my best to keep the amount of custom textures to a minimum (for file size) that was needed to remove that pesky chemtrail.
