Expert Overview

Developed by Aval Design for Microsoft Flight Simulator, the Robledillo de Mohernando Airfield scenery enhances this small private airport—officially known as Teniente General Vives Camino (ICAO: LERM)—in the Guadalajara region of Spain. Having tested it myself, I can confirm that the scenery pack includes a high level of detail, with realistic hangars, carefully placed powerline poles, custom buildings, and other 3D objects that capture the authentic feel of this real-world airfield. Even the lack of night lighting is faithfully modeled, keeping operations limited to daytime VFR flights just like the real location.

Beyond the accurate building footprints and runway textures, the scenery portrays the airfield’s distinctive rustic character, complete with detailed parking areas, windsocks, and local objects that add depth to the flying experience. The asphalt and sand runways have been precisely modeled to match their real-world dimensions, and the nearby VOR (RBO) on frequency 113.950 is also included for navigation. Overall, it’s a rewarding addition for both casual flyers and dedicated simmers seeking to explore a lesser-known corner of Spain in their virtual skies.

This mod was installed, tested and reviewed by Adam McEnroe for Fly Away Simulation. Adam is an FS mod expert. Read his bio here.

Screenshot showing the LERM airport scenery in use in MSFS 2020.?The scenery is a fully-featured pack that brings the airfield as close-to-life as possible - in-line with the real-world airfield (and in great detail).

Features include custom buildings such as hangars on the airfield along with terminal buildings, hand placed 3D objects including cars, diggers, windsocks, and even powerline poles surrounding the airfield.

The airfield itself is located in the Guadalajara region of Spain and serves very minimal local air traffic. It's also worth noting that the real-world airport does not have any night lighting available so daytime VFR flights are the only option. It's an open airfield and accepting fly-ins from anyone (subject to landing fees).

About the airport

The real name of the airfield is Teniente General Vives Camino (ICAO: LERM). It's a private airfield located in Robledillo de Mohernando, Guadalajara, Spain. It's managed by the Aeroclub de Guadalajara and it's mainly focused on civil aviation.

The airfield is not controlled, so the pilots have to announce in the radio frequency 123.325.

It has an asphalt runway (01/19) of 1000x18 meters and a sand runway of 900x30. The elevation is 3096 ft (944 m).

Close to the header of runway 01, there is a VOR (RBO) with a frequency of 113.950.

Installation

You have to unzip the files in the Community folder. If you’ve installed the game in a custom location, the folder will be in the game directory. If you’ve installed it in the default location and you’re using the MS store version, you should look in %localappdata%\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator (with a bunch of letters and numbers at the end)\LocalCache\Packages.

If you’re using the Steam version, there are two places you should look in. The first is %appdata%\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\Community.

The second is in the Steam library folder – \steamapps\common\Community.
