Kathmandu To Lukla. A simple flight from Kathmandu to Lukla Airport using the Augusta Westland EH101 helicopter from FSX Acceleration.
Kathmandu To Lukla Mission.
Briefing-
Simple flight form Kathmandu to lukla Airstrip. My First mission creation. Just getting my feet wet on the process. Hope you find it somewhat fun and challenging. I Created 3-goals - 1.) Start the Engines within 2-minutes after the overview - Blah Blah. You have plenty of time just looking to get the Rotor RPM above 40%. 2.) Stay under 15,000 feet,
once you go above 15,000 feet a 5-minute timer will Pop-up, giving you plenty of time to reduce your altitude. Do not go over again, you will loose 50% of your engine power, LOL - Pretty much dust after that !! 3.) land Safely at Lukla, just go to desginated spot with Green Waypoint indicator, come to full stop and you will be good to go.
To Install -
Hopefully everything is in-tact, just unzip the compressed Folder into your Mission Directory under the backcountry folder, ie, /Microsoft Flight Simulator X/Missions/BackCountry/, this should create a Directory called KathmandutoLukla. Should pop up at the bottom of the Beginners, Tried several times the mission and was consitent with 50-60 minutes without increasing the speed.
Requirements-
FSX, and the Acceleration Pack. Uses the AugustaWestland EH101 Heli. Fantastic Bird. All done with the FSX SDK, Microsoft Owns Everything that was done, Thank you very much for giving us such a great Simulator and tools to make Fun stuff.
FYI - I do not have a radio voice so I just used some Natural Voices created by ATT- Used Natural Voice Crystal and Mike. The wav file are the biggest in the Folder, still trying to figure out how to make them smaller, sorry for the size.
Cheers Have Fun.
