Orland is a Norwegian air base located beside the City of Brekstad.
The airport nearest to this base is the airport of Trondheim.
The squadron 338 is stationed on this basis, this squadron flight on F - 16 MLU.
The base also accommodates the AWACS of NATO. Several great exercises take place on this basis like the Nordic Air Meet, Tiger Meet, ...
Swiss air forces are involved during 1 month each year since this base for the night flights.
Generally it is between 8 to 10 F/A-18 which goes there for the campaign NIGHTWAY.
