FSX Andrews Air Force Base Scenery

Andrews Air Force Base (KADW) in Camp Springs, Maryland gets a richer, more functional layout in FSX, expanding military combat and cargo parking, adding four helipads, and including transient GA spots. Two fire stations with vehicles, additional military trucks, plus static helicopters and fighters enhance ramp realism, using only stock objects.

Andrews Air Force Base Scenery.

MS didn't do much with military bases in FSX. Here is an improved version of the stock Andrews AFB. I added many Military_Combat and Military_Cargo spaces, 4 helipads, and even a few transient GA spots, 2 fire stations with fire trucks, some military trucks, and static helicopters and fighters.

I use Just Flight's Military Plus Packs and they work fine with this airport. I also use Ultimate Terrain and FSGenesis landclass but they are not required. All objects are stock FSX so no additional object libraries are needed.

I will be doing other military bases as time permits.

INSTALLATION:

Extract the two files AFX_KADW_JC.bgl and KADW_JC.bgl into your Addon Scenery/Scenery folder, re-start FSX and enjoy.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

Use these coordinates to fly directly to this location once the mod is installed.
