Do MS have software thae can be played on a APPLE MAC computer?

Pro Memberpeterbilt379Sat, 24 Mar 2012 00:45:05 GMT

Very pleased, Dont like the spot view, its not smooth. Want more planes and where is the continetal US?

PEIFri, 09 Mar 2012 13:50:04 GMT

Very disappointed! Obviously Microsoft is going after a different market than the Simmers. Oh well I hope the third party developers for FSX keep working on FSX add-ons because MS Flight is a game not a simulator.

Migrating to X-Plane now is a very real possibility

RoystonMon, 05 Mar 2012 23:03:20 GMT

What can I say. A disgrace! Mr Gates, you should be ashamed of yourself even allowing the Microsoft name being associated with this insignificant nonsense.

Talk to US and find out what we really WANT rather than what you think we want.

robSun, 04 Mar 2012 00:00:03 GMT

What can i say...a flight game not for flight enthusiasts but for casual gamers? Since when was this genre a casual thing?.....it's like releasing a game for a market that doesn't exist. Veterans wont buy it and casual gamers wont want to fly planes and practice landings lol. Bizarre choice Microsoft. FSX has a huge fan base and mod/addon following but no you decide to ignore the lot and cater for 3 kids from call of duty lad ;).

Hope it disappears fast... I wont be buying it for sure... it's so bad its almost an insult.

TruckieThu, 02 Feb 2012 21:48:39 GMT

I have to say I'm very disappointed. I thought MS Flight was going to be a dedicated upgrade to or replacement for FSX - certainly doesn't appear to be from the video. Scenery might be good but it appears to be nothing more than a video game - not a flight simulator.

cgsimpsonSat, 28 Jan 2012 09:34:30 GMT

Maybe ORBX should have a go at making a new Flight Simulator....obviously Micro$oft can't do it!!!!

RJ WhiteFri, 27 Jan 2012 11:52:16 GMT

The game looks more like one you would use with RC controls. Very few screen shots of what it would be like sitting behind the controls and experiencing the flight. For older folk such as myself, the clips go by so fast I don't have time to focus on one before it's gone. I know they are probably aiming for a much younger audience, but some of the older generation would like to try it out as part of a real flight simulation, not game play.

lcsSun, 22 Jan 2012 01:54:28 GMT

I think the crude humor and mild violence MS is warning about is in the comments.

bwSun, 15 Jan 2012 02:24:06 GMT

What a stupid looking interface with graphics that look like cheap animated cartoons. It's not a simulator but a silly object moving around on a cheap cartoon like background -- where does the actual skill of flying a plane with actual aircraft specs come into the picture -- is Microsoft expecting the larger flightsim community to sign up for this silly "test market" piece of s---?

Louis WillhauckSat, 14 Jan 2012 19:45:15 GMT

"Mouse and keyboard?" maybe MS ought to farm out this piece of crap to "facebook/zynga" for all I care. I hve even given my FSX and all add-ons I bought to try and make FSX a valid simulation to my 6 and 8 year old grandsons. This new whatever it is "game" wouldn't even challenge them, and for ME... I want a FLIGHT SIMULATOR IN REAL WORLD SATELLITE TYPE GRAPHICS, AND OTHER REAL WORLD-LIKE STUFF! This is NOT it!!! If this is the state-of-the-art, then come by on my next garage sale,... got a gaming chair, yoke, pedals, throttle quadrant, multiple monitors etc. etc. for sale...CHEAP!!!

KrisSat, 14 Jan 2012 17:36:45 GMT

Okay, if your video upload is slow it is because you have a slow internet. The FSX was a screw-up, too demanding of hardware. I know I spend about $8000 on a rig that runs FSX pretty well. The reason MS is not using the word simulator is because they want to disassociate themselves with that big screw-up. Forget all that. The MS Flight is a simulator, and in fact by far the best we have ever seen, and it will run well on an average computer(low to med settings). For free? Come on. You get a free trial island to see how fantastic this thing is. If you want the whole world, you have to pay! Nothoing free in this world.

Grumpy7Sat, 14 Jan 2012 06:19:00 GMT

Is underwhelmed even a word? If it is, mark me down for it in capital letters

James L.Fri, 13 Jan 2012 23:34:50 GMT

One more thing, it will run fine on my machine and yeah I'll keep FSX on standby.

James L.Fri, 13 Jan 2012 23:33:27 GMT

Looks pretty cool to me however as always there will be imperfections. It would be expensive but worth it if MS used photoscenery for the entire world. Add-ons and fixes will follow but I'm waiting a bit to purchase as I want to read reviews from other users.

StocoFri, 13 Jan 2012 19:41:54 GMT

Disappointment!!!!! I keep thinking that Microsoft must have hidden something better up their sleeve. Please Microsoft ... Tell me that this was just a silly joke.

Pro MemberrgmccaFri, 13 Jan 2012 17:15:34 GMT

What's happening at Microsoft? You terminate one of your most useful software, MS Money (I still use it despite no updates or connectivity). Then you trash your Flight Simulation team. What's next, MS Office??? Now you try to pass off this lame kiddie game. Why not take a try at Angry Birds, I'm sure your team would enjoy working at their own level. I think it's time I dumped your MS stock before it craters too...

SalFri, 13 Jan 2012 16:35:20 GMT

Wow! Not impressed at all! There is a whole market saturated with video games for kids and big kids! I have spent so much money to make FSX great and I wait for a better non jerking, detailed program. Instead it looks like Nintendo Pilot wings waiting Sonic the Hedgehog to show up! At least put some guns and explosions if your going to tease with the semi realistic arcade like action! I am sure I am not alone! I have spent a lot of money, time and faith in MS Flight sim... we'll see. X-plane 10 is going to take the lead if they are not careful.... It has almost all the cool stuff and my 7 year old nephew is actually challenged by it.

Im how old?Fri, 13 Jan 2012 00:20:37 GMT

Well Im NOT 10 years old. - Wake up and smell the coffee MS there millions of people prepared to spend a ton of money on a SIMULATOR as HAWKS is already out. Fire your in-house teams, they know nothing - R&D waste of money. I'd rather play lego than play this, and not the GAME the actual lego blocks - look what you have done ive gone insane.

JustFlight EmployeeThu, 12 Jan 2012 23:31:06 GMT

Im going to need to find a new job now - thanks a bundle Microdump.

FSX, were going to be in it for the long run!Thu, 12 Jan 2012 23:26:25 GMT

Microsoft Flight looks great (thought process two months ago), now it should be called Microsoft S _ _ _ E! I dont think anyone who devoted their time to FSX (or FS2004 for that matter) would disagree? I'd rather waste my money (that when the add-ons come out - if) on stationery.

Unhappy soon to be frozenThu, 12 Jan 2012 23:19:55 GMT

It looked great a few months ago, however now i'd rather be cryogenically frozen in hope of finding an actually SIMULATOR in the future. See you in 10 years MS (that's if you even exist with this utter rubbish).

Ian PilcherThu, 12 Jan 2012 21:53:53 GMT

Am I ready to take off on a brand new adventure? No!

This is not a flight sim but a 'shoot them up' with out the shooting, it is going to bomb.

MS have made no effort to produce an update to FSX or FS9 but have turned out a rather bland game. One that I think that gamers will tire of after a few months.

MS you have got it so wrong, where did you do your market research in a kindergarten?

No this is not for me and I suspect millions of dedicated filghtsimmers worldwide. Think of the millions that are not buying this and you have ignored when you see the poor balance sheet.

dljfnpThu, 12 Jan 2012 20:56:36 GMT

Well, this short clip doesn't seem to answer any questions about how the new version improves anything over FSX. I can only hope that scenery, graphics, panels, ect...will be sharper, easier to use with fewer software problems than any of the older versions. Like I said, you can't evaluate anything with this poorly done clip.

RickThu, 12 Jan 2012 20:11:19 GMT

They killed it without the world. They will only appeal to newbies to the world of flying for first time. Like someone said, sorry BORING. The new XPLANE 10 looks awesome but too much adjusting etc, too different from FSX, of which I shall stay with! Maybe in another 5 years the new one will be worth buying!

Marv M.Thu, 12 Jan 2012 17:47:28 GMT

If the beta test folks are reading these comments, take me off your list...yuk. I'll stick with FSX for now.

Rafman925Thu, 12 Jan 2012 17:12:14 GMT

Well the read down the list was bad, but the program!! If I wanted to fly through holes in the ground I'd fly fight into one of there own and go back to FSX, which I'm doing just now!

BobThu, 12 Jan 2012 16:37:58 GMT

I, too, have been waiting like many flight simulator flyers and find it disappointing to find Flight to be an upgrade of FSX or others to be downgraded to a game. When I was in flight training at my local air field, I learned to land and take-off using the real world flight simulator. I improved my flight skills at the time, coming home flying around my home town using flight simulator.

The graphics are not impressive. Develop the game application, but, don't lose the loyal users of Flight Simulators, improve FSX and keep it "REAL."

GarvinThu, 12 Jan 2012 15:20:21 GMT

I agree with most of the reviews. Flying via gamepad? I think most of us are after the realism, not the "arcade" version. Hopefully we will see more of it's serious side.

PaulThu, 12 Jan 2012 13:20:12 GMT

What a pathetic piece of crap. Microsoft has officially killed Flight Simulation with this garbage. I hope the 10 year old's enjoy it with their "Mouse and keyboard".....

furanuku77Thu, 12 Jan 2012 12:59:13 GMT

been waiting for this for years but: not impressive at all. I wonder why they do that to us...Watched the video and I ended with 2:30 minutes of my life wasted!!

WillemThu, 12 Jan 2012 12:34:06 GMT

For what I have seen so far.......

Waiting for DONALD DUCK appearing in cockpit !

brrrrrr...

Max RennThu, 12 Jan 2012 10:10:41 GMT

So Microsoft just turned their once-great (FS2004) simulator into Pilotwings with DLC? Extremely disappointing.

Darr meThu, 12 Jan 2012 09:54:01 GMT

Ok! I have been using Microsofts FS from FS98 to FSX, and they where nice but lacked graphic looks and not a very realistic flihgt model. i think MS has done only "Ok" in making better graphics and i'm hoping a better flight model in this new "thing" they have called "Flight". It does seam too be very "game"like, and starting with an island only to start the new franchise out is "well!" stupid!. their basing this new GAME on the fact that kids at airshows didnt want a sim to PLAY! but a GAME to jerk around in. "thats what games like HAWK are for!" not this kind of FLIGHT game, if you want a game made of this it better have lots of big guns and things to blow up! or it just want hold any ground "at all!". Use your heads MS and go back to what made MS stand out in the aviation world!, your research is WRONG! you nead too lean more towards the simulation than the kids game!.

bedgieThu, 12 Jan 2012 09:43:10 GMT

I was looking forward to this but then found out this and 3 reasons why Micro$oft will not be getting any of my money. 1, You are limited to Hawaii only. (how boring, what about the rest of the world who don't live in the states?) 2, Micro$oft Flight will not be supporting 3rd party add-ons. (So no REX, GEX, Captain Sim Aircraft, VRS, VATSim, Ultimate Traffic just to name a few, these are all a no go for M$ Flight. So in other words you are stuck with what ever Micro$oft give you thats it). 3, The game it self looks like an arcade style of game (maybe this is why they dropped the Simulator off its name and just called it Flight). It looks like its more directed to the Xbox gamers than the simulator fans. Unfortunately I can see this dying a horrible death as the flight sim fans will boycott this game because of the reasons I have listed, and the gamers will get board of it after awhile as they are limited to 1 area, nothing blows up every 5 minutes oh and if the crash effects are like FSX.

BAW315Thu, 12 Jan 2012 07:21:04 GMT

Its a game! For kids only, have fun guys. I will be staying with fs9 thankyou very much. I prefer real world simulation

RayThu, 12 Jan 2012 07:16:30 GMT

Got all that with FSX why pay more out not for me .Try agen MS

KiltinsaThu, 12 Jan 2012 06:30:25 GMT

It's not hosted on a Microsoft video server...blame flyawaysimulation.com for the crappy video playback performance not Microsoft.

Don SchmidtThu, 12 Jan 2012 05:29:39 GMT

What a joke. I'll stay with FSX. Microsoft is so out of touch with their customers or they have no idea what FSX means to us desktop pilots. I am very disappointed. Don

NickyThu, 12 Jan 2012 05:18:02 GMT

Do I need to say anything more...this sucks! If this is their PR vid I will download "Flight" for my 10 year old. Surely if you want to do marketing you bring out the big guns??? Comercial jets and busy airports...not some crappy vintage planes ...After waiting for 3 years...and all the hipe??? NOT IMPRESSED

Murray AyataThu, 12 Jan 2012 04:12:05 GMT

where is my DC3...B737-800....A330....321....DC9.....De havilland dash 300.. Bonanza.....757...767....777.... at least take look at AEROSOFT product you were very lucky because I am not in control other wise all fire

Peter WilsonThu, 12 Jan 2012 04:01:47 GMT

Really, am most disappointed, what a step backward for Micro-Soft

Hiro OkudaThu, 12 Jan 2012 02:30:49 GMT

MS has put the key assets(old friends since FSX,FS9,FS2002,so on)into the garbage bag, what a shame!

john allenThu, 12 Jan 2012 02:08:38 GMT

Microsoft should have rather made upgrades for FS2004 re Improved ATC only 7 voices and all American.Scenery could have been tweaked and the few bugs corrected. But no they left all of us hanging and expect us to go along with this new thing. No Thanks.

gunship_ah64Thu, 12 Jan 2012 01:47:05 GMT

Redmond, we have a problem! I have a feeling that this Microsoft Flight is becoming the Duke Nukem Forever of the franchise...sorry guys. Need to ask to serious flight simulator people how to build a modern real flight simulator. For what I saw, this version is arcade oriented just for kids. Hope we are wrong or we are going to keep our 2004 and X versions or, worse yet, migrate to X-Plane!

JavierThu, 12 Jan 2012 01:18:30 GMT

Is this a joke? Does this "GAME" come with a time machine to take us back to 2001? Because this looks like a game (yes, a game, not a sim) from 2001 or 2002. This is even worst than FSX. I thought X-Plane was ugly but damn... this is a win by miles... I can't believe what I'm seeing, even though is free, I wouldn't even give it a try!

SMOKKINThu, 12 Jan 2012 00:53:37 GMT

Not impressed. They either gave up or they should fire their PR firm. I'm still loving FSX. Looks like I will be staying there. ORBX should take over.

Alex LaBargeThu, 12 Jan 2012 00:50:14 GMT

I was expecting a better simulation experience with SIDs and STARs and an improvement on IFR from FSX, not this. Im going to stay with FSX for a while. Count me out.

DougThu, 12 Jan 2012 00:46:24 GMT

Sorry guys, this is a game. I was hoping for more. Sure, I started flying the C172 at Miegs Field in Chicago like most flight simmers, and maybe the graphics and scenery looks a little better here but I've moved to flying commercial heavys and don't want to go back. Especially stuck in Hawaii, there's no place to go. I'll stick with FS9 for now, maybe look around but not MS Flight

ThunderThu, 12 Jan 2012 00:34:26 GMT

Ho hum, fail. If the third party developers (and thank you all) that are out there working on FSX add ons, please don't stop. This is MS junk and like usual with so much of there products, they have chosen to ignore the faithful, (or the trapped). This attempt at refreshing the Sim market was a waste of time and effort on so many levels. For those patiently waiting for MS flight to be an improvement, move on.

PJWed, 11 Jan 2012 22:44:06 GMT

I concur with most of the comments. Very boring. Come on, this is 2012. ORBX has been doing this for years with absolute life like images. Pull your socks up and give us what we all have been waiting for.

MichelWed, 11 Jan 2012 22:17:15 GMT

Graphics and scenery could be better.Seems a game for Kids, not a simulator. Difficult to assess flight instruments etc in this short video. Was not worth the time waiting to load. Hope MS makes something better than FSX and not so heavily CPU loaded. Something better for Flight Simmers not kids. Also with the possibilities to load scenery and addons form FSX. Romans said "Tum spiro spero = as long as I live I hope, but french say: L'espérance c'est la consolation des imbéciles = Hope is the consolation of the silly. Lets still hope for something better....

AndrewWed, 11 Jan 2012 22:06:54 GMT

After so many years of waiting this is it? Very dissapointed.... As a real world pilot I was hoping to be blown away with better graphics and real world photo etching, very dissapointed I will just stick to FSX. ORBX fullterain all the way!!!!

paulWed, 11 Jan 2012 21:24:50 GMT

It looks very unimpressive. How is it any different from FSX and it's catering to old technology still. What a fail and no wonder it's free. :(

DaveWed, 11 Jan 2012 21:18:12 GMT

One word BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORING

paulWed, 11 Jan 2012 21:15:05 GMT

It looks very unimpressive. How is it any different from FSX and it's catering to old technology still. What a fail and no wonder it's free. :(

runway24RWed, 11 Jan 2012 21:12:03 GMT

Wow! I am so UNIMPRESSED! This is what we've been waiting for since 2006? Obviously Microsoft has their priorities set to a different marketing core of the population as this is NOT a sim for us serious pilots? I see no improvement in graphics nor do I see any commercial jets in this video? I'll stick with my FS9 thank you very much!

CnutzWed, 11 Jan 2012 20:38:53 GMT

Nice job Microsoft...your video sucked...start stop every 2 seconds...ridiculous! took forever to watch it

williamWed, 11 Jan 2012 20:17:02 GMT

well looks like its all in the name 'FLIGHT' no sim at all in game going by the video, its easy to get a game running better then its predecessor if you gut it out......probably going to see ai on a loop with no interaction.

like many other simmers I have spent a large chunk of cash on hardware and addons to make FSX a pleasure to play but I dont see any of that transferring over, for that reason alone Im sticking with FSX

jrmartinWed, 11 Jan 2012 20:15:35 GMT

Is this a joke? MS spending all their time and salaries to produce a FS2002 product? Graphics are horrible. FS9 with addons beat this by miles and miles. Even with default scenery.

RonWed, 11 Jan 2012 20:14:23 GMT

Just another kiddie game. To those of us who enjoyed flight simulation as an addendum to real flying experience, FS2004 was good and FSX could have been better for those of us with something less than the cutting edge gaming computers, but this isn't a flight simulator. Microsoft, please call it what it is, a game! I think I'll be giving X Plane a try...

JavierWed, 11 Jan 2012 20:08:10 GMT

Terrible; who wants a game like that when we had a simulation game with FS9/FSX?? it's clear that MS wants to have kids playing to hit golden thigs more than people flying almost real airplanes like the ones of PMDG, Aerosoft, etc.

Also, I will not be interested if I can just fly on Hawaii...

Time to fly to X-Plane...

MitchellWed, 11 Jan 2012 19:43:20 GMT

Well, I guess its time for developer(s) to create stand alone sims that serious pilots can fly serious airplanes in. MS is obviously dumbing-down this franchise to arcade game staus. Quel domage.

qantasguyWed, 11 Jan 2012 19:17:26 GMT

Nothing real interesting here - wanna know how PMDG products will operate with all regular addons as well. Have spent 1000s on this overt the years and don't wanna start fresh. I worries me that the video didn't show a single airliner.......I would imagine this is a BIG chunk of business for them.....Perhaps its just bad PR.......

Roland OndrusWed, 11 Jan 2012 19:06:53 GMT

I am really interested in the Jet's or Commercial Airline planes, most of us flight simmers seek to play airline type scenarios with IVAO, what I see now is some junk mission compelled game..And to be more precise, FSX had very similar marketing, and still many problems came with the game until I managed to run it smoothly ( i have a gaming pc).

SilvaWed, 11 Jan 2012 19:01:30 GMT

I just watched the video and was not too impressed. I saw airplanes, balloons, and boats but not one helicopter. Hopefully the next update video will show some helicopters as well as the big jets.

MikeCWed, 11 Jan 2012 18:56:43 GMT

Hope the video is not indicative of the performance. Does not appear to be any improvement in scenery over fsx; third party fsx aircraft are more impressive. May try flight but it will take a lot of improvements before I move away from FSX.

HeinzWed, 11 Jan 2012 18:27:36 GMT

So far a little disappointing... was expecting a serious improvement of graphics. Seems very much the same as FSX only a little simpler. Hopefully the end product has a better appeal. Watching your 2:30 video took about 1/2 hour... frustrating. Come on Microsoft, you can do better than this... Heinz

HomerWed, 11 Jan 2012 17:53:15 GMT

Did they say for free?!?!

Nick TolsonWed, 11 Jan 2012 17:46:21 GMT

I wonder whether they will have realistic crashes and failures to liven things up. I know that you can only fly in Hawaii no where else will be available for some time. Thats probably why there are no large aircraft yet. Not sure whether this is going to work or not!

RenoWed, 11 Jan 2012 17:33:20 GMT

I have a feeling that this may not be aimed at the established FS market, but appealing to the gamers - lots of emphasis on 'fun' but no mention of improved flight sim reality. Maybe I'll hold onto my F-halt-S-halt-X a little longer?

Jeff CarpenterWed, 11 Jan 2012 17:00:47 GMT

I see little difference from FSX and that was little improvement on FS9. 'Glitzy' imagery doesn't do much for flight when at 10,000 ft or more and how often do pilots stand outside to 'admire' their aircraft? A little more attention to the flight parameter realism might go a long way to improve the whole concept. Cynic? Probably.

DiscipleWed, 11 Jan 2012 16:48:54 GMT

Graphics hardly look any better than FSX, lol.

Ed FentonWed, 11 Jan 2012 16:31:16 GMT

Not very impressive. It's just another "game". No wonder the initial release will be free!!!

Dr David JohnsonWed, 11 Jan 2012 16:28:11 GMT

Well the Jury's still out on this version, cant wait to try it and see if it lives up to its name sake.

HJWlk639Wed, 11 Jan 2012 16:23:32 GMT

Hi folks, the video loaded in first time, played straight through with no streaming. The scenery looks pretty good, but would have to see something on the commercial front (A320 - B747 etc) and a little more time to one aspect. This has left me wondering whether Flight is for me, or after flying through each version, will I progress no further and stay with fsx. Sorry ms but I feel somewhat disappointed and unconvinced.

JohnWed, 11 Jan 2012 15:29:25 GMT

Its more of a game than a simulator. Scenery looks good but I am interested in how a simulation will interface with cockpit controls, yokes and addon scenery. From what I see MS is not going to allow 3rd party addons of the past or future to work. What about my Project Magenta software, FScommander etc. I'll take a look at the "Free" version but do not expect to invest in Flight and loose what I have invested already in FSX and 2004.

Nakiam949Wed, 11 Jan 2012 15:04:10 GMT

Ooookayyyy...I don't see the stutter problems but I do believe in giving MS a chance...they've created an excellent product in the past. I can't fully recall but for those of us that want the full sim experience there will be an add on that will take this program to the next level...we'll see.

joseph theeboomWed, 11 Jan 2012 14:50:23 GMT

I am downloading the video, i live in Cape Town, it takes about 27 minutes to load. looks fine, ones i got it going .but wondering what the final product will be like.if you have to be connected to the Internet to fly, than it is a no no for this part of the world. as Internet cost are high here, i got 8 gig per month capped, cost approximately 375 rand and speed is 384 kb unless you pay a fortune to get a faster connection.i am running FX gold edition.and also have just today ordered my X Plane 10.as the comments from other simmers about that, are all extremely good. Joseph

Pro MemberArul DassWed, 11 Jan 2012 05:41:20 GMT

I too have been playing the MS flight simulator from the 1st edition, and every time new version is released there has been some improvement. Now I expect a great change in Microsoft flight, especially the ground texture,if not the X plane 10 would be a bit better. Hope for the best.

In my opinion it is not easy to assess this new program watching video. It seems good but the issues are considerations about the design and facilities or others as knowing the addons that the new Fly Sim offers to start flying. ATR72, MD11... will be available to start to fly? If so the level of simulation is similar to the well-known addons IFlay or PMDG and others? I hope it is so by expectations that all have put into this project.

Nothing interesting so far. Seems that Microsoft is trying to appeal to a wider market by pushing more the "gaming" features instead of enhancing the flight simming capabilities. I was hoping for an improved (re-engineered) FSX with better fps management, increased realism and inclusion of advanced flight management tools into the core product. May be its too early to tell...

well it looks good but so does my fsx ??? will give it a try they have done good in the past !!!

I think I will reserve comment until I try it and plan to do so. It appears to be more of a game than a new better flight sim experience.

I was expecting to see big jumbo planes, busy airports with a lot of realistic traffic and etc.....well...lets wait and see...otherwise i will buy xplane 10.

I have been around MS FS since it first came out. I am keeping an open mind until I see / use it in action. Yes I will be highly disappointed if this does not contain the Sim aspect that made MS FS what it was and is. In the mean time I am keeping FSX on my machine for now.

Having waited ten minutes to get 40 seconds of video, I just got got fed up and quit! I can't say that I'm impressed with what I saw. Let's face it, MS got a real money-spinner by gradually updating FS; but when the less enthusiastic public decided it wasn't going to pay the price demanded, MS pulled the plug! Now it's trying to cash in on the genuine FS'ers who ARE prepared to pay. Personally, I don't believe this new idea will offer anything better than what we already have - if the video is anything to go by! So It's a thumbs-down from me.

as in previous posts indicated --> very long time to load the video, no streaming playback possible at once. Otherwise the movie shows in short the possibilities that 'Flight' will bring but the SD-quality of the movie can't show the real thing once it will be released --> so, waiting for HD-movie !

I agree with Bryan, video keeps starting and stopping. Reading the blogs it seems to me that flight is going to be a failure!

FloquetThu, 05 Jan 2012 04:03:41 GMT

The video is working. Just a very slow upload.

BackBurnerThu, 05 Jan 2012 03:56:11 GMT

The Video is working 100%

swampwolfThu, 05 Jan 2012 00:41:04 GMT

Oh man here we go again! If this video is any indication of the new simulator we have a problem!! First off the video loads much like X, buffering and stutter problems, 5 seconds of video and 30 seconds of buffering! (yes I have a decent computer)Screen shots look great but so did X screen shots. As we all know unless you had a new NASA computer, X ran and looked just above OK. There are many of us that are willing to pay for a deluxe program (in the $100 to $200 range) for something that works on an average computer, and that has the software all ready installed that many of us all ready buy (ultimate terrain, my traffic, etc.)I hope I am wrong!!

Crude humor and mild violence???

Pro Memberokie5Wed, 04 Jan 2012 22:55:40 GMT

I hope the final version works better than this video.
