The British Aerospace Advanced Turboprop was a low-noise and fuel-efficient turboprop plane that met an unfortunately early end due to the proliferation of other models when it was released. Only 64 of the planes were ever made, but the aircraft remains extremely popular among airplane enthusiasts everywhere.
Webinblue is one of the many respected add on making collectives for Microsoft Flight Simulator, and their add on in this case comes as a welcome addition to the flight simulator for any turboprop plane fans. Any add on that claims to support turboprop functionality but does not fully animate the exterior is not worth the effort to get, even if it is free. With a turboprop plane, you really want to be able to see those engines working while it is in the air. Thanks to the advanced engine powering Microsoft Flight Simulator, such a thing is possible and Webinblue makes it a reality with their fantastic add on.
Besides the welcome addition of a fully animated exterior, the plugin contains all new sounds, so the British Aerospace ATP will produce a sound that is authentic to it, rather than the sound of a generic turboprop engine. Those who use the virtual cockpit feature to fly in a simulated 3D cockpit instead of the typical two dimensional controls pasted over the screen will be happy to know that this add on comes with a fully animated virtual cockpit for the plane as well.
Everything the add on brings was done in collaboration with seasoned and experienced pilots of the British Aerospace ATP, with the goal being to give you an authentic simulation experience when flying the plane.
Webinblue is known throughout the flight simulator community for their efforts in releasing add ons that are both authentic and functional, so if you give this realistic plane addition a try for your copy of flight simulator you will not be disappointed.
