It's here! One of the most desired Spanish regions by simmers. After releasing the Basque region, we now have on offer another detailed mesh scenery of an autonomous Spanish community - the Catalonian region of Spain.
The orthophoto mesh scenery, for use with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 (FS2002) or MFS2004, includes all four of the regions provinces - Barcelona, Tarragona, Lleida as well as Girona - and covers a total area of 32,114 square kilometers in full fotorealistic detail. Our great LOD 10 Mesh is included. For anyone that has ever been to this beautiful region, it will be clear that viewing this terrain from above can only be done justice in a resolution that approaches or even goes beyond that offered here.
Viewed from above, one will be instantly reminded of actually flying in to Spain's cultural capital, Barcelona – if you happen to have had the luck to already do so in life.
This new version of the Catalonian region includes the provinces of Barcelona, Tarragona, Lleida and Girona – of which all but Tarragona lie at least partly within the beautiful mountainous landscape of the Pyrenees. The total ground area covered is 32,114 km². These are mapped with exclusive orthoimages at the original resolution of a mere 1m per pixel – with the mesh Levels of Detail at a whopping 10, giving great as well as smooth images from as high or low as you can fly.
The scenery is available both in CD-ROM and DVD Versions. Together with the recently released Basque region of Spain, the entire border of Spain to France, and with that, the Spanish Pyrenees has now been covered. Further work is being to done to cover the French side of this Landscape, as well as a number of further regions in Spain: Our team is now working on Guipuzcoa, Pamplona and the French Basque Country. We expect to release these in a few months. Be sure to look out for these further highly detailed landscapes!
