FSX Lockheed C-141 Starlifter. The Lockheed C141 Starlifter for FSX based on real-world flight dynamics. Originally designed by Mike Stone for FS2004, it now contains realistic dynamics including engine specs that make her fly like the real-world aircraft. Please read the "Readme" file enclosed for further details. She now flies comfortably at FL410E for over 7000 nm at mach .74, or higher at up to mach .80 in speed. Realistic sound is included. How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place files per the readme

Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
  3. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

Hi, I was a C-141 AC in the 1970's at Norton. Is there any chance one of the develpoeres could port this over to MSFS 2024 or 2020 for that matter? I would be willing to defray the costs.

No VC. What a shame. Stock FSX 747 2D panel even more shameful. Great sounds and skinning and flies well, but this is an incomplete model and a disappointment. Could be so much nicer.

Great airplane it flies well. The sounds the textures are mindblowing. I wish it had a more unique cockpit. For some reason that cockpit design has been used in almost every large military jet i've downloaded today including the b2 bomber.

When attempting to install the C-141 keep getting:

"The application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obtaining a new installer file from the application author."

Am still trying to figure out how to get to the virtual cockpit. Also, the contents of the zipped file appear to include a lot of cargo stuff. Don't know yet how/if I can access.

    Thanks

I flew as a crew member on the 141-B at Andrews AFB, with the 459th MAW. The sounds on throttle up, reversers, etc is exceptional. the aircraft flies well for a sim, and delivers a first rate experience. the 141 was a floater on landing with its massive wings and center wing box, and the sim holds true to this. I would like more animations in the future but am very happy with it now. Petal doors and ramps wrok, crew entrance door, and the thrust reversers extend and fold back just as the actual. Good Job!
