This freeware repaint enriches the A2A Boeing B-377 Guppy in Microsoft Flight Simulator X with a fictional Big Fish Air Cargo scheme and optional cockpit and pilot textures. Created by Paul Grubich, it offers a distinctive cargo-livery variation and a refreshed flying environment for those who relish unusual aircraft modifications. Although it is tailored for the A2A B-377 with the Captain of the Ship (COTS) upgrade, the base payware product is not included.
Intriguing Adaptation of the Boeing 377 “Guppy”
The original Boeing 377 “Guppy” was itself an extensive modification of the Stratocruiser, recognized for its bulbous fuselage contour and extended cargo hold. This unique shape was once leveraged for transporting massive payloads, including rocket components. In this fictional Big Fish Air Cargo scheme, the bulky silhouette takes on a fresh identity, providing sim pilots with a vivid alternative to standard repaints.

Optional Cockpit and Pilot Texture Revision
Alongside the external livery, this package features new interior details for the cockpit and an updated look for the pilots. These enhancements deliver an added layer of immersion, ensuring the overall atmosphere complements the cargo-based theme. The outcome is a coherent environment, bridging the external paint work with a suitable cockpit aesthetic.
Installation Procedure
After downloading, place the provided “texture.bigfish” folder into your main “WoS_B377_Pregnant_Guppy” directory. Next, edit the aircraft.cfg
file in your “WoS_B377” folder by appending the lines shown below under the subsequent [fltsim.XX] entry, adjusting “XX” to the next available number:
[fltsim.xx] title=Boeing 377 Big Fish sim=b377pg model= panel= sound= texture=bigfish kb_checklists=b377_check reference= description=This unique aircraft is a modification of the Boeing 377. The aircraft, a former passenger liner with Pan-Am, was stripped of all non-essential systems, including the pressurization system. The fuselage was lengthened by 16 feet, 8 inches and a third 'bubble' of 18 feet, 6 inches in diameter was added to the upper fuselage structure. The plane was modified so that the entire rear fuselage and tail could be unbolted and carted away from the forward section, to allow for easy loading of the Saturn V S-IVB booster. The plane flew much as a normal Boeing 377, with the exception of some additional drag. Otherwise, the procedures and characteristics are the same as the standard Stratocruiser. ui_manufacturer=Boeing ui_type=377 "Guppy" ui_variation=Big Fish ui_typerole="Four Engine Prop" ui_createdby="A2A Simulations Inc." atc_heavy=0 atc_id_enable=1 atc_id=N1024V atc_airline=Big Fish Air Cargo atc_flight_number= prop_anim_ratio=0.9 atc_id_color=0x00000000 visual_damage=0 atc_id_font=Verdana,-11,1,600,0
