Boeing 777-200 “Big Orange 2” delivers a fictional Braniff International tribute livery inspired by the legendary 747-era “Big Orange,” celebrating the carrier’s DFW routes and final 1982 flight. Designed for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, it refreshes the aircraft’s exterior with bold period color and clean markings, and requires the payware PMDG 777-200.

An orange Braniff International widebody jet flies over an airport with multiple taxiways, runways, and a large circular terminal building.

This is a fictional tribute paint for the payware PMDG B777-200 in the colors of Braniff International "Big Orange". The original "Big Orange" aka "747 Braniff Place" aka "Fat Albert", which served DFW to Honolulu and London Gatwick from 1971 until the airline's demise in 1982. This aircraft was the "high-time" in terms of hours of any 747 in the air while it was with Braniff. N601BN was the 100th Boeing 747 delivered from Boeing. It operated Braniff's last flight on May 12, 1982 between Honolulu and DFW. By Nicole Webb.

Installation:

Copy and paste the texture.spectrum folder into your PMDG 777-200LR directory, and then add the following lines into the aircraft .cfg file.
Replace XX in the [fltsim.xx] with the next number in your livery sequence.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.
Verify in FSX

Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.
