This repaint brings the rare Braniff International Panagra “Green Jellybean” livery to life, offering a slice of 1968 aviation history for pilots flying the Captain Sim B707-300 in Microsoft Flight Simulator X. Developed by Marc Brown, these textures replicate the striking color scheme and distinctive branding from Braniff’s collaboration with Pan American-Grace Airways. This add-on requires the payware Captain Sim 707 base package, which is not included and must be obtained separately (for instance, from a service such as SimShack).
Vibrant Braniff Livery Details
The “Green Jellybean” design emerged during Braniff’s bold era of bright and unconventional aircraft paintwork. Known for experimental aesthetics at the time, Braniff International combined vivid colors with aerodynamic tweaks to make the Boeing 707 series stand out on both domestic and international routes. The Panagra partnership further expanded the airline’s South American connections, and this particular N7080 aircraft exemplifies that collaborative spirit.
Classic Boeing 707 Feature Highlights
- Jet-Age Engineering: The B707 leveraged Pratt & Whitney JT3D turbofans for improved cruising performance.
- Long-Range Capability: Its design supported intercontinental flights, making it a popular choice for global travel.
- Retro Flight Deck Layout: Analog instrumentation and autopilot systems reflect the era’s advanced but hands-on controls.

Texture Installation Steps
- Extract the contents of the download to a convenient temporary folder.
- Locate your CS_B707-300 directory within the Captain Sim installation and copy the folder labeled texture.N7080 into that directory.
- Edit the aircraft.cfg file (found inside the same CS_B707-300 folder). Append the provided
[fltsim.X]
entry, ensuring the X matches the next sequence number after the last existing livery. For example, if the highest entry is fltsim.6, rename this new entry to fltsim.7.
This package only includes repaint data and does not contain the original Captain Sim B707-300 model. Make certain you have purchased and installed the correct payware product beforehand. Enjoy operating this iconic green-liveried airliner in your simulator and relive an unforgettable chapter in Braniff’s colorful commercial flight history.
