Landclass Scenery For Lanai And Kahoolawe, Hawaii (HI). This is a complete landclass modification for the islands of Lanai and Kahoolawe. The changes made to Lanai and Kahoolawe improve the landclass and correct Lanai's city layout. Missing roads and trails and other objects have also been added to the island. By Charles Reid.

The landclass was designed with the original Microsoft textures. Ultimate Terrain will work with no problems as long as this scenery is at a library level above UTX. I am working on a version that will better match the GEX textures and am almost finished with that project. I will upload the GEX modification soon. There are four different texture files located in the folder FSX_Lanai_City_GEX. You can try each city landclass and use the one that you like. This will change only the town. The GEX modification I'm working on will change all of the island textures.
Another modification that has been incorporated into the design is a correction for seasonal changes in Hawaii. There is little or no seasonal change of foliage in Hawaii. The default Microsoft seasons for Hawaii are incorrect. The modification included is in a separate folder and it will correct this problem for all of the Hawaiian Islands.
The Island of Kahoolawe has no runway but does have a Heliport that is not listed and it has been added to the Kahoolawe scenery. If you can fly a chopper you now can land on the Island of Kahoolawe.
The location is as follows: N20*30.91' W156*40.89'
Unzip the Lanai_Kahoolawe_LC_Seasons file into a temporary folder. Copy FSX_Hawaiian_Islands_Seasons,FSX_Kahoolawe_LC and FSX_Lanai_LC to:Program files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator X\Addon Scenery.
Activate the FSX_Lanai_LC folder and then the FSX_Kahoolawe_LC folder and last the FSX_Hawaiian_Islands_Seasons folder.
The two Islands of Lanai and Kahoolawe will now have new seasons and landclass.
Note: If you are using GEX the default Lanai City will have large city buildings which do not exist in reality. You can change this by using any one of three files located in the FSX_Lanai_City_GEX folder. Just copy and paste any one of the bgl files into the FSX_Lanai_LC scenery folder. You can try one at a time and if you are not happy the original file is saved in the Default_FSX_Lanai_City folder.
