Unzip the 'Skidoo' folder to a temporary location. Go to the Simmobjects/Airplanes folder in your main FSX and copy and paste the folder 'texture.Skidoo'into the 'FlightSim Developers P38J' folder. Open the folder'texture.p38dds', and copy the contents into your new 'texture.ranger' folder but DO NOT overwrite when prompted. Finally add the following lines to your P-38J aircraft.cfg file:-

description=The Lockheed P-38 Lightning was one of the most successful fighters in the Pacific during WWII. Designed in 1937 - 1939 in answer to an Army Air Corps requirement for pursuit aircraft in twin-engine configuration to achieve a specific speed/weight ratio with a given amount of armaments. Over 10,000 P38s were manufactured in all, becoming the only U.S. combat aircraft that remained in continuous production throughout the duration of American participation in World War II. After the war surplus P-38s were also used by other air forces around the world, and the P38 is a very popular aircraft for air races due to its speed and maneuverability.
Change the [flightsim.xx] to the next available number and enjoy!
This repaint is based upon the excellent paint kit supplied by FSD.
