Emirates’ Airbus A380-800 arrives as a detailed freeware jumbo with lively wing flex, drooping control surfaces, independently moving gear bogies, dual strobes, and animated wipers, plus nuanced engine spool and windmilling effects. Custom ground spoilers, pack vents, idle reverse, and mapped passenger and cargo doors enhance immersion in FSX.
The Emirates A380-800 presented here offers a full freeware package that showcases intricate animations, advanced aerodynamics, and careful attention to every structural component. Developed by the Project Airbus team, with a repaint by Demetris Themistocleous, this release captures the immense scale and distinctive configuration of Airbus’s iconic double-deck airliner. Designed primarily for FS9, it can also be deployed with Microsoft Flight Simulator X, giving sim pilots various immersive possibilities.
Dynamic Wing Flex: The wings flex in real-time, reacting to aircraft weight distribution, angle of attack, and even ground spoiler deployment. This gives a visually authentic representation of the airframe’s behavior under different flight conditions.
Drooping Control Surfaces: When the engines are not powered, critical flight surfaces rest in their lowered positions. This accurately emulates hydraulic bleed-off found in many real-world aircraft systems.
Parallel Bogies: Each bogie on the main landing gear moves independently, allowing hyper-realistic ground handling, including pivots and tilt typical of this heavyweight aircraft.
Double Strobes and Animated Wipers: There are hard-coded dual strobe lights for increased realism, and windshield wipers can be toggled for a lifelike cockpit environment in adverse weather. A hidden option is available to deactivate these wipers via the water rudder command, offering a custom experience.
Custom Engine Fan Coding: Fan and compressor spools have been meticulously simulated, including realistic startup and shutdown transitions. Once airborne, the fans also exhibit windmilling effects, reflecting actual airflow patterns.
Idle-Reverser Operation: Reverse thrust mechanisms can be enabled at idle, which is a nuanced trait rarely seen in conventional add-ons. This allows more accurate runway handling and is especially noticeable during short-field landings.
Ground Spoilers and Pack Vents: Upon touchdown or when armed, spoiler surfaces deploy in a manner consistent with real-world Airbus logic. Animated pack vents further illustrate environmental system flows along the fuselage.
This aircraft provides multiple door and cargo compartments, each mapped to specific key commands for expanded realism:
Extract the downloaded folder directly into the main simulator directory. Since the core model was originally engineered for FS9, some minor adjustments may be needed to enjoy it in Microsoft Flight Simulator X. Although community feedback is welcome, official technical assistance may not be guaranteed.
Project Airbus enlisted a skilled team: Demetris Themistocleous (repaint), Derek Mayer, Sheldon Fernandes, Tom Collins, and Alexis Vletsas, among others. Their collaboration brought forth custom tire rotation code, fluid nosewheel steering animations, and precise lift augmentation function (often referred to as LAF). Special thanks go to individuals like Andy Warden and John Tavendale for additional guidance. The package also credits Thomas Ruth for the conversion work, ensuring flight sim enthusiasts can fully appreciate the Emirates Airbus A380-800 within different simulator environments.

I can't see the cockpit when i downloaded emirates boeing 777-300er can u please address the issue
Make sure the ATHR button is activated when you activate the speed hold button on the end of the dial (it turns dark grey).
I don't see the flight panel, when i press F10 I see a Boeing 747 panel, but on the 3D mode there is nothing. Please advice, this happened with some other models I've downloaded from you.
there is a speed issue with this plane! speed doesn't hold when set, other than that, great plane
speed hold doesn't seem to work, i set my speed to 250knts but it never gets to that. i end up just manually adjusting my speed
