These textures depict N9000T (c/n 45119) originally delivered to BOAC as G-AOII and later served with SAS and some freight companies. The well-known Cpt. Steven Quinto (once founder of Sagittair) bought the aircraft in 1978 and operated her as Air Freighter Leasing intensive in the Caribbean and South American region until 1981. Textures for Tom Gibson's Douglas DC-7C. Repainted Manfred Meyer.

description=The DC-7C was a complete redesign abandoning the wing of the DC-4 allowing a further substantial increase in fuel and oil capacity. Updated engines gave slightly more power for take off and climb, but since the DC-7C was 17,000lbs heavier than the DC-7B performance was significantly reduced.

The years '78 to '80 ....saw her in SAmerica, Central America Caribbean ...and Africa. Destinations like LA Romana DR, and Port au Prince saw her regularly. She even developed the moniker 9000 Mango ....at MIA as a result of the many flights full of mangos she brought back from Haiti. She served Bob Marley's needs in support of his concert in Gabon in 1979. And carried oil drilling equipment to Abidjan... She really was designed for the "seven seas" (7Cs). Proud till the end, She never failed to serve with verve and candor.
