Expert Overview

This comprehensive scenery mod recreates General Leite de Castro Airport (SWLC) in Rio Verde, Brazil, with a precise layout of ramps, gates, and taxiways, plus realistic lighting and orthophoto enhancements. Tested thoroughly on both X-Plane 11 and X-Plane 10, it delivers an immersive experience complete with ground services (in XP11), city buildings, and a detailed passenger terminal to capture day-to-day operations. At an altitude of 751 meters and featuring a 1500 x 30-meter asphalt runway, the airport supports commercial flights by Azul Airlines.

Through decades of working with PC flight simulators, I found this add-on remarkably faithful to the atmosphere of Rio Verde while remaining resource-friendly. It accurately delivers essential functionality such as pushback services, a well-modeled apron area, and carefully placed scenery objects without depending on external libraries. Overall, it stands out as a solid scenery upgrade for virtual pilots looking to deepen their connection with this busy regional airport in Brazil.

This mod was installed, tested and reviewed by Adam McEnroe for Fly Away Simulation. Adam is an FS mod expert. Read his bio here.
