Shortly, Noble Air, one of the, if not the, oldest virtual airlines will be celebrating its 10th Anniversary. It was founded on 4th June 1994 by Tim Virkler flying out of San Francisco, using a Learjet 35A.
Since that time Noble Air has grown out of all recognition. It now operates from a series of Hubs, currently 19, covering the Americas, Asia, Europe, Oceania, Pacific and Russia. Each Hub being run by a Hub Captain, who in some cases is aided by Assistant Hub Captains, and operate as "mini virtual airlines", each with its own Route Schedule. The overall management is governed by an elected Board of Directors, thus it is true to say that is run by and on behalf of its pilots.
Its fleet consists of 34 types of aircraft, ranging from Boeing 777 and 747's, right down to the Maule M7-260 Amphibian, and including the Augusta 109A MkII helicopter, each painted in the distinctive colours of Noble Air. Thus offering Pilots an exceptionally wide variety of flying experiences.
Included in the celebrations will be a Multi-Player Event at SFO and a Transatlantic Challenge. A more detailed history, memorabilia etc. and more information on the celebrations will be found on our website.
Noble Air are always recruiting pilots, of all abilities, although some Hubs are fully staffed, there are vacancies available somewhere. This, along with the possibility to transfer between Hubs gives a huge choice of routes on which to fly.
