Glass panels, like the Garmin G1000, are clearly replacing the older "steam engine gauges" panels in general aviation (GA) aircraft. Most new GA aircraft now have a glass panel as standard equipment, and many older aircraft are being re-fitted with them. Garmin, with the G1000 unit, has been a leader in the field since the beginning.

AFS-design brings an excellent rendition of the Airbus A380. The Airbus A380 is a double-decker, four-engined airliner manufactured by Airbus S.A.S. It first flew on April 27, 2005 from Toulouse, France. Commercial flights should begin in 2006 after 15 months of testing. During much of its development, the aircraft was known as the Airbus A3XX. The A380 is now the largest passenger airliner, topping the Boeing 747, which was the largest for 35 years. However, the Antonov An-225 retains the record of being the world's largest commercial aircraft.

Available now for FSX is Imaginesim's KIAD Washington Dulles. IAD is world renowned for its Eero Saarinen designed terminal building and the unique 'PlaneMate' mobile lounges. Dulles is also among the most important Eastern Seaboard hubs and is one of the world's major international destinations.

PMDG has released new versions of the PMDG MD-11 for FSX and FS2004 during the night, Friday. These updates serve to bring both versions to parity, and to add some new features and fixes since the FSX release in October and the FS9 release earlier this week.

The Pitts Special is a light aerobatic biplane designed by Curtis Pitts. It has accumulated many competition wins since its first flight in 1944. The Pitts Special dominated world aerobatic competition in the 1960s and 1970s and, even today, remains a potent competition aircraft in the lower categories. Aerotek-built S-2B with a 260 hp (194 kW) Lycoming AEIO-540-D4A5 engine, and upper wing auxiliary fuel tank, the landing gear and upper wings were moved forward six inches, 196 built.
