Freedom Sim Release RAF Mount Pleasant Scenery for FSX

Freedom Sim, a flight simulator scenery developer have released a scenery add-on package for Microsoft Flight Simulator X that features RAF Mount Pleasant in stunning detail. It includes all of the airport buildings, taxiways and aircraft hangars which can all be seen on satellite images. It also features battles from the Falkland's War in 1982. The package is very frame rate friendly.

Tongass Fjords X returns Alaska back to the flightsimmers, after Microsoft missed a beat in that particular area of the world. Like in their FS2004 version, Sandman and Womack have managed to bring an unprecendented level of realism and immersion into the area. With Tongass Fjords X there are also quite a few new technologies introduced, like partial phototextures to render realistic glaciers (over 250 hand-made ones to be precise!), automatic freezing of water in the winter, and much more.

Aerosoft Announce Mallorca X for FSX/FS2004

Aerosoft released Mallorca X today. This scenery for FSX and FS2004 created by the developers of SimWings, does not only cover the two airports on the island, but covers the whole island with high definition mesh and textures (for FSX 50 cm textures are used for the whole airport). The airports use AESlite to make the vehicle traffic more realistic and the latest version of AES (version 2.02) covers the airports as well. A perfect destination for your European flights this summer!

A collection of high-resolution relief images from the ordnance survey database, including over 26,000 km2 of aerial photographs (2.50m resolution), will provide you with a realistic bird's eye view of the terrain in the French departments of Loire-Atlantique, Maine-et-Loire, Indre et Loire and Loir et Cher. From the Loire estuary to the Chateau de Chambord, you can also fly over Europe's last wild river, and admire the major historic sites and architectural gems of this region through the many finely modelled 3D objects featuring in this first volume.
