Kingsford Smith Int'l Airport (YSSY), Sydney, Australia. Includes two versions, one with the crosswind runway operating and one without.

Kingsford Smith airport in FSX.Also adds assigned parking, support vehicle roads, extra fuel trucks and more.

ADE Home Edition (Freeware) was used to design these BGL files: This is an update of my previous version, my previous version not required, these 2 files are only for the FSX default airport: one with the Xwind rwy 7/25 activated where all rwy's will be used for takeoff/landing and one as default: the missing taxi signs for taxiway A now added, assigned parking with extra parking, support vehicle roads rebuilt, extra fuel trucks and several other improvements, airport views are from inside the control tower (when in tower view) fully tested with Ultimate Traffic/WOAI but not required, please view the readme before installation.

There are 2 BGL files: YSSY_ADE_RS.BGL and YSSY_ADE_CW_RS.BGL.

The 'YSSY_ADE_CW_RS.BGL' version is with the Xwind rwy activated, the other version YSSY_ADE_RS.BGL is without parking is the same in both...

NOTE: PLEASE ONLY USE ONE BGL FILE AT A TIME:
ie: make sure there is only ONE 'YSSY.BGL' FILE in the Addon Scenery/scenery folder at any time, remove/delete any other YSSY.bgl

PLEASE NOTE: when using ATIS with the YSSY_ADE_CW_RS.BGL file you will hear the fake rwy's, this is the method used in activating Xwind rwy's created by Jim Vile and should be ignored or if preferred use the version YSSY_ADE_RS.BGL

To Install:

  1. simply take the BGL file of your choice and place it into Flight Simulator X/Addon Scenery/scenery folder.
  2. Startup the Flight Sim and the changes will be present.

TIP: when at YSSY in tower view: go to your control settings and look for the "View track/pan Toggle" allocate a keyboard key stroke to it (i allocated a button on my X52 controller) this will unlock the user aircraft, then you can use the hat switch to pan 360 degrees around the airport, hitting the key stroke again (in my case a button) will return you to the user aircraft position

Enjoy and happy flying

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
  3. Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
