Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

This is Alphasim's freeware release of the T34 Mentor upgraded to FSX. The T-34 Mentor began as a private venture designed by Walter Beech shortly after WW II. Beech felt that there was a market for a military trainer based on the Model 35 Bonanza which had been flying for about a year. The first two prototypes were powered by 205 hp Continental engines while the third had a more powerful 225 horsepower engine. The prototype made its first flight Dec. 2, 1948. This aircraft.mdl has updated 2D and 3D panel, flight dynamics and gauges. It can be flown in FS2004 and FSX Acceleration. Upgrade by A.F. Scrub.

Installation:

  1. Unzip " T34Mentor " into a temporary file and move the "T34Mentor" folder into the main Aircraft directory.
  2. Read instructions carefully when installing the gauges. Say YES when asked if the gauges sources should be trusted. If you say no, most of the gauges are not going to work!
  3. Leave all gauges in the T34Mentor panel folder.
  4. Copy the effects into the Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator ...\effects folder.

Special thanks to :

  • Alphasim team for this beautiful freeware.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place files per the readme

Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
  3. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

    Yeah the wheels need work.

Same problems as those described by Joestew. Plus dark propeller when rotating !

    Very desapointing !

Nice aircraft except for one glaring problem. The tires on the landing gear are invisible no matter which model is used. Tried reloading twice but it didn't cure the issue.
