Editorial

As a big opponent of aircraft for warfare, I have to be honest when I say that I wasn’t 100% sure what to make when I downloaded this. The Sukhou SU-34 is a really popular aircraft, and it’s got a lot of features about it that make it stand out from the crowd; however, it’s not something that I have any kind of experience or knowledge with.

That being the case, I hopped in anyway and I was immediately impressed with the performance and the overall control that it exhibited; it really is an impressive piece of kit, well designed by the editors.

The Performance

The first thing that really struck me was just how close to real-life the real thing was. I done plenty of reading and investigation to make sure that what I was going to be flying was going to be just like the real thing. Given the limitations of FSX, Eric Buchmann has done a great job re-taking this mod and making it suitable for use within FSX.

It looks great (more on that below) but the performance quality really is quite an impressive feature. The whole thing can be managed with relative ease.

One major factor that comes from flying something like this, though, comes from the fact that it’s so incredibly fast. For me at sometimes it was too fast, but I’m led to believe that these are the speeds you should be expecting from this model.

However, it’s more an issue with me that make it so hard – I’m just not used to aircraft like this. As far as realism goes (the most important thing) this ticks all of the boxes. It’s demonically fast but this is not really a big issue; it feels great to fly around in and really does a good job of capturing that the sheer energy of the real thing.

The Design

Another impressive factor about this aircraft model was the attention to detail in the design of the aircraft. From the interior to each of the liveries included – three in total – this takes on the spirit of the real thing and captures it in the perfect manner.

As far as design detail and the intricate nature of the aircraft goes, the design really is very impressive. It does a great job of capturing the aircrafts little features and formats, making it easy to get to grips with.

After intensive reading and understanding of what this aircraft should bring to the table, I have to applaud at the great work done by the designers on this. It really does give me a feeling of the true, raw power in an aircraft like this, incorporating it perfectly.

I can't install this plane, The installed package is not working. a label appears and says: "it is damaged. I tried to install it with the prompts that are recommended but it didn't work. Can you help me, please?
