FSX French Alps Rescue Mission

French Alps Rescue Mission turns FSX into a high-stakes helicopter search-and-rescue sortie, tasking an EC-145 crew with locating missing tourists in rugged mountain terrain and delivering them safely to hospital. A co-pilot manages radio chatter while optional English or French voice audio and a reward system add structure and atmosphere.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D mission

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place mission files

    Missions go into FSX\Missions\ as a sub-folder. The folder must contain an XML file describing the mission.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

    gavin Ignore my last reply I found them right after I replied! Near N45 59.66, E6 28.01, if your not too high you will be right around them and hear your co-pilot comments about hovering to capture them. Its real close to where he first states your in the area. Hope this helps.

    gavin I don't think I got the mission from here, this copy may be a fixed/complete one but I had one that I had to do a lot of analyzing go through all the hassle to get all the parts working (i.e. download the chopper separately, an airport etc and fix them all too. Finally I get it running as it should run and I can't find them either so far. Frustrating I'll let you know when/if I do.

    Has anyone figured out how to get to the Chamonix mountaineer part of the "French Alps Rescue" mission? I've managed saving the tourists and helping out at the car accident, but I never get the order to fly to Chamonix. Cheers, eskil
