FSX Furnace Creek Rescue Mission

Furnace Creek Rescue Mission turns the Bell Huey into a hands-on helicopter SAR scenario, starting hot on the ramp and tasking pilots to sling-load a pallet to a desert crash site, then hoist survivors and deliver them to the waiting ambulance. Built for FSX and requires Acceleration for missions, hook, and winch action.

Furnace Creek Rescue Mission.

Furnace Creek Rescue Mission.

This flight will only work in FSX "Acceleration".

When you've run the lift flight, you will be sat, rotors running, on the tarmac.

Front of you a PALLET BOX to transport to the ceash site use hook & winch cam to help you to make your lift.

Your load hook is active by default.

Ensure you're less than 12Kts, and 16Ft to hook the load.

Once successfully hooked up, fly direct to crash site, and position the pallet on the site.

After that hoist the pilot & is passenger & return to the ambulance.

Don't exceed 60 Kts with the load attached.

Carry out the following steps:

1. Extract all the files into a temporary folder on your Desktop.

2. Cut the five Furnace Creek_rescue files and paste into the "Yourname/Documents/Flight Simulator X Files/ " folder. (This is where FSX saves it's flight files).

3. Cut the 2 gauges and paste into your gauges folder.

4. Cut the BellHuey2_acc and paste into the Rotorcraft folder.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D mission

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place mission files

    Missions go into FSX\Missions\ as a sub-folder. The folder must contain an XML file describing the mission.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
