FSX Boeing B-377 Air Force One

Boeing B-377 “Air Force One” repaint imagines a presidential Stratocruiser with military virtual cockpit textures and Air Force crew, built from A2A’s stock artwork for a cohesive period look in FSX. It requires the A2A B-377 with the Captain of the Ship upgrade and installs as a texture set only.

There were no B377's used for the presidency but it would have made a great Air Force One. This version includes military cockpit textures with Air Force pilots. Textures based on stock A2A textures. This is a repaint only and requires the A2A B-377 with COTS upgrade. By Paul Grubich.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.
  3. Verify in FSX

Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

Great plane! Good graphics! This was my first repaint installation. Installation was a challenge at first. I kept trying to install it to the A2A folder, instead of simobjects airplanes. Once I figured that out, the installation went easily. Thanks, Mr. Grubich

Many thanks for the articals and downloads offered on Fly Away. May I make a plead for the in-experienced Flight Simulator operators? When a down load or advice is given to us users, can you be explicit on the operating requirements that are needed for the down load/advice. e.g. FSX/P3D. FS 2004 is self explanatory but others are a little confusing for us beginners and it would help if a requirement was just a little more accurate. My system is X-Plane 11 but will some-one explain what is "steam"? What is P3D? For any-one using a simulator for years all of this simple but for us new to the hobby its a bit daunting, we are trying to join the club but its a bit tricky not knowing the language.
