FS2004 Swissair Douglas DC-6B

Swissair’s 1951 Douglas DC-6B livery recreates HB-IBE as delivered in July 1951, with period-accurate markings plus included textures and matching model for the early long-range variant look. Designed for FS2004, it requires Tom Gibson and Greg Pepper’s Gmax DC-6B base package for full aircraft functionality.

This DC-6B, HB-IBE C/n 43275, is depicted as it appeared when delivered to Swissair in July 1951. It was an early DC-6B delivery preceeded only by United's first 6 aircraft, American's first 11 and its sister HB-IBD.

It was probably equipped with CB-17 engines and the higher fuel capacity.

If you have your DC-6Bs segregated into CB-16 and CB-17 engine versions do the following:

  • Copy the included texture.SWR folder to your DC-6B (CB-17) aircraft folder.
  • Copy the included model.v2 folder to your DC-6B (CB-17) aircraft folder.
  • Add the following section to your DC-6B (CB-17) aircraft.cfg file, numbering it in sequence.
