FS2004 Pre-WW2 SwissAir Douglas DC-3's

Pre-war Swissair Douglas DC-3 liveries recreate all five aircraft flown from 1937 to 1955, bringing period-correct markings and polished metalwork to the classic airliner. Designed as 32-bit textures for the default DC-3 in FS2004, the set sharpens external detail while keeping a consistent, historically grounded look.

This file contains textures for the default Douglas DC3. The included textures are 32 bit for increased detail. The textures depicts all five DC-3's that were in service with Swissair from 1937-1955. Re-paints based on those from R. Raueiser and the re-painting kit from Mark Beaumont. By Tom Kohler.

Installation:

  • Unzip THIS zip file to a temporary directory.
  • Several directories will be created called "Texture.SwissAir_IRA" 'down to' "Texture.SwissAir_IRU" Copy these to your main Douglas DC-3 folder.
  • Add the text below to your aircraft.cfg and re-number the [fltsim.XYZ] sections according to your positioning!

FS2004 add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per readme

    FS2004 add-ons go into FS9\Aircraft\, FS9\Addon Scenery\, FS9\Gauges\, or FS9\Effects\.

  3. Always read the included readme
