FS2004 XC-69/L-049 Constellation Prototype

Lockheed XC-69/L-049 Constellation prototype repaints bring the aircraft’s earliest “Excalibur” era to life in FS2004, covering rollout-day markings, first-flight test colors, and USAAF delivery insignia. The set recreates NX25600 and 43-10309 with period-correct details and requires the CalClassic/Team 749 L-749 base package.

The XC69 is the Constellation that started it all. Originally designated as the "Excalibur", the Constellation had a legendary beginning and star studded designers. Depicted here in three liveries, rollout day colours, flight test colours, and USAAF delivery colours. This aircraft would later be transformed into the first L-1049 and finally the first WV-2. Original aircraft by Team 749 (Manfred Jahn, Roland Berger, Volker Boehme, Luis Pallas, Bill Tyne, and Stefan Werner), requires CalClassic / Team 749 L749 package (LOCKHEED749.ZIP), will work with or without updated .mdl files (749_MODELS_UPDATE.ZIP). Repaint by Dan McManus.

Requires dependencies

This add-on may require the following files to function properly. If this is a repaint, the dependency below is likely the base aircraft package.

How to install this mod

FS2004 add-on
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place files per readme

    FS2004 add-ons go into FS9\Aircraft\, FS9\Addon Scenery\, FS9\Gauges\, or FS9\Effects\.
  3. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
