Arctic Wings Ltd. CF-HMX brings a historically grounded Avro York repaint to FS2004, reflecting northern Canadian supply flying during the DEW Line era from Churchill, Manitoba. The livery portrays c/n MW167 and pairs well with the Merlin 500 FDE and panel update; requires AVROYORK.ZIP basepack for Manfred Jahn’s Avro York.
Requires AVROYORK.ZIP basepack; Avro York Merlin 500 FDE and panel update recommended. Many Yorks were used in northern Canada to support building the Dewline stations and other supply operations. These textures depict CF-HMX (c/n MW167) used by Arctic Wings Ltd., Churchill, Manitoba from 1954 until it crashed 12.4.1956 at Hall Lake NWT, where the wreckage remains until today. Textures for Manfred Jahn's Avro York. Repainted by Manfred Meyer.

I am the managing editor of the Canadian Aviation Historical Society Journal and we have an article on York CF-HMX in preparation as an upcoming Journal feature article. I would like to establish contact with the 3D artist who created the Arctic Wings model in the interest of obtaining permission, and a suitable 2D image file, to use as the cover art for the edition which will carry the article. Please contact me at your earliest opportunity directly on editorATaviaeologyDOTcom if interested. With kind regards, Terry at SkyGrid Studio / Aviaeology Publishing / CAHS Journal
