How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place files per the readme

Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
  3. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

I was one of the flight test pilots for the Prime Pave Eagle Contractor's, Univac Corp., on the YQU-22A and the QU-22B. I was also one of the drone controllers on both the portable remote runway control device attached to a 1968 Ford Bronco as well as the fully remote control system located in a special trailer used for controlling each remote combat mission over the Ho Chi Minh trails in Laos near the Plain of Jars.

I was the actual official drone controller on the flight that crashed in Laos during a combat mission on June 11, 1969, due to an engine failure.

The pilot, Maj. Edward Schroeder bailed out successfully and was rescued. I conducted many flight tests on these aircraft, and more especially at our flight test facility located at Marana Air Park, AZ.

Please feel free to contact me if you would like to know any other information about this project, or have any questions.

I was at NKP in MCGS Pave Eagle , Igloo White Oct 70 to July 71. I was an auto track radar tech that maintained the equipment that flew the QU22 remotely, including the remote runway portable mounted in and on 1968 Ford Broncos. Thanks for you contribution and blog.

I fly and manage one of only two flyable QU-22B's left in the world. I am setting up a FSX sim for the future pilot of the QU and would like to inform you guys that the QU you have for FSX is actually the A Model. The US Air Force built 6 of these and then modified a A-36 Bonanza to build the QU-22B(B Model or Beeech Model 1079) They built 27 of them in total. Only 25 went to South East Asia. I am willing to provide full history and pics if someone wants to build a correct B model for the sim. Please contact me. bstuder@tailwindsaviation.net Brian Studer 214-934-4828
