The popular (and well-known) A320 Neo release by FlyByWire is called "A32NX" which is available as complete freeware based on their completely open-source project. This release brings a third-party version of the Airbus A320 to your copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator in stunning (third-party) detail.
This model and package bring the Airbus A320 Neo based on a third-party remake to MSFS. While of course, the default Microsoft Flight Simulator installation does have an A320 Neo, this package aims to upgrade, build and expand on the default Microsoft offering and it does so in stunning detail.
Features of this pack include;
- A complete "electronic flight bag" which includes toolkits, a settings, and configuration panel along with performance tools all based on an in-game integrated tablet within the cockpit.
- The sounds used (sound pack) are completely custom and not based on the MSFS default offerings. The sounds included are based on real-world aircraft from third-party contributors and sound developers.
- Full integration with Simbrief makes filing flight plans and entries easier than before - it's a very simple process.
- The version of this pack available from the FlyByWire website has a custom installer which is preferred over the drag-and-drop method as there can be some issues with different folder structures and nuances.
- The project is in constant development and updates to the codebase happen almost daily - being third-party - and on GitHub - anyone can contribute their changes and modifications to this open-source release.
- Detailed documentation is available that explains every aspect, switch, or button found in the cockpit when piloting this aircraft.
- The entire project is open source and can be used completely free of charge under the GNU General Public License v3.0 license.
This project has been well-received by MSFS (2020) fans and users. And while the default A320 Neo was a great aircraft, developers from legacy sims such as P3D and FSX were hot to contribute in making the default A320 Neo even better and more customizable. Perhaps we can expect more of these projects to expand on more of the default MSFS offerings.
The version released here on Fly Away Simulation is the current (full) Stable edition of the project. We will update it often and as new releases and versions become available from the developer.
We can expect great things for this release. Be sure to bookmark this page for the latest updates and releases.
Liveries and Repaints
This pack includes the default FlyByWire repaint included with the base release package. There are hundreds of repaints available for this model which we aim to include in the Fly Away Simulation file library as and when developers provide/submit them to us. We may even create a mega-pack of repaints for this release and bundle them into one package. Stay tuned for updates re. this.
Paint Kit Included
This pack includes a paint kit compatible with the FlyByWire A32NX. Using this paint kit, you are able to craft your own liveries and repaints for this MSFS release. You will need to use the FlyByWire installer converter to do so (after creating your repaint/livery) but it will indeed work.
The paint kit included in this pack was developed by skoy21 who allows upload permission with a credit to their file. The developer, skoy21 does not currently publish a public donation page but if this changes we will list it here.
Installation
Simply copy the flybywire-aircraft-a320-neo
folder inside the downloaded ZIP archive into your MSFS community folder. It's as simple as that.
License: The FlyByWire A32NX has been released under GNU General Public License v3.0. This allows redistribution and modification of the release package by the developer.

hello, I have the same problem as drefla07, I've downloaded an A320 fbw neo but it doesn't appear in Word Map, it's in the market place but when I want to install it, it stays "ghost plane", we ear the motors but no plane... Is somebody could help me? thank's a lot.
Hi, I bought an Airbus A320nx on Flyaway, problem, after booting up, when I select fly now it freezes and gets dark on display, is there anything that can be done? other aircraft in the sim is ok.
It's nice to know that there are other aircraft that we can load in FS2020.
