Expert Overview

SWISS International Airlines A320 8K Livery offers a stunning high-resolution repaint for the default Airbus A320 in Microsoft Flight Simulator. Created by the talented developer, tomihbk, this pack delivers incredibly sharp textures that bring every detail to life, from the symmetrical SWISS titles to the updated “raccoon eyes” and refined rudder logo. The AI model has also been enhanced, ensuring consistent visuals across the board, while the added gloss and premium finish give the aircraft a realistic shine during both takeoff and landing.

As an experienced simmer who has personally tested this mod, I can say the improvements are striking—even when zoomed in close. These 8K textures are regularly updated to maintain compatibility with the latest sim patches, ensuring a smooth and stable experience. If you’re seeking a true-to-life livery that replicates the crisp detailing and vibrant colors of SWISS’s real-world fleet, you won’t be disappointed with this immersive add-on.

A pack containing a complete rendition of 8K resolution liveries for the default Airbus A320 in SWISS International Airlines colors and paints.

Swiss A320 in flight in MSFS.The developer, tomihbk has released several versions of this pack recently - all including upgrades and expansions to the original.

The current versions are released in 8K resolution and the textures do truly look stunning in MSFS - even up close to the aircraft and zoomed in.

We are unsure if this A320 repaint is based on any real-world aircraft registration but we do know that SWISS do indeed employ many A320s in their aircraft portfolio.

Some of the other updates over the previous generations;

  • Thumbnail corrected
  • SWISS text is no longer asymmetric, it's cleaner
  • Racoon eyes improved
  • Rudder logo is shorter to match the real one
  • Added some glossy effect to make it have that premium feeling
  • Added minor details like the real plane
  • AI model is now implemented
  • Updated for patch 1.10.7.0 of MSFS2020
  • It's 8K now!
  • Repainted the whole plane from the ground up using high-quality textures and methods

The developer expects to continue the development of this pack and release updated to improve the release.

How to install this mod

MSFS livery / repaint
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Locate your MSFS Community folder

All MSFS add-ons live in the Community folder. Microsoft Store / Game Pass version: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community\. Steam version: %APPDATA%\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\Community\. Tip: enable Developer Mode in MSFS to see your exact Community folder path.
  3. Copy the livery folder into Community

Drag the extracted livery folder into your Community folder. The base aircraft must be installed for the livery to appear.
  4. Restart MSFS

Close MSFS completely and relaunch. The new content appears in the Content Manager, on the World Map, or in the aircraft/livery selector.
  5. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

I have been a flight simmer since 1983 with MS. I have other platforms which I occasionally use but MSFS2020 is by far and away from my favorite. I have never experienced such quality and beauty as MSFS2020.
