This freeware package showcases a Lufthansa Airbus A320 designed by AFS-design and created by Andreas Meyer, offering a precise short- to medium-haul jet experience for enthusiasts of both Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. It encompasses numerous technical highlights, from an advanced virtual cockpit to a finely modeled exterior, and even includes additional variants such as the A318, A319, and A321 for a comprehensive Airbus family simulation.
Aircraft Characteristics and Lufthansa Background
The Airbus A320 forms part of a narrow-body jetliner series commonly used by Lufthansa, Germany’s major airline. Originally launched in the mid-1980s, the A320 pioneered digital fly-by-wire (an electronic interface transferring pilot commands to the control surfaces). This technology soon found its way into modern air transport, enhancing handling precision and reducing pilot workload. Today, the A320 family’s variants remain popular in airline fleets worldwide, while Lufthansa continues to operate these aircraft for medium-range routes across Europe and beyond.
Complete Package Details
This release integrates the core A318, A319, A320 (featuring a modeled cabin), and A321. All aircraft benefit from refined aerodynamics and realistic cockpit instrumentation. They have been built to conform to the latest simulator developments, ensuring stable flight behavior and modern visual fidelity. Each model exhibits detailed animations, including functional flaps, slats, spoilers, and landing gear. Additionally, multiple cabin doors and cargo hatches open correctly, all supplemented by vivid lighting sequences for landing, taxi, and navigation operations.
Flight Deck and System Highlights
Inside the cockpit, you will find:
- Virtual Cockpit featuring a co-pilot figure and fully rendered panels
- Extensive avionics for radio navigation and pilot assistance
- PFD, MFD, and EICAS displays providing flight data, engine statistics, door status, and more
- An FMC (Flight Management Computer) with roughly 15 distinct menu pages and integrated flight plan usage
- Autopilot modes supporting ILS approaches, altitude hold, heading control, and autothrottle logic
- Engine thrust reversers for authentic ground handling
All panels contain switches and controls fashioned to mimic real-world Airbus layouts. The center console incorporates radio units, transponders, trim wheels, and throttle levers for precise adjustment. Overhead panels feature around 100 switches, each assigned to a relevant aircraft system, further heightening immersion.
Included Liveries
Beyond Lufthansa’s signature paint scheme, this package provides numerous repaints representing prominent global carriers such as Air France, British Airways, easyJet, US Airways, and many others. This comprehensive set also contains neutral textures (for custom repaints), enabling simmers to tailor each model to their preference or replicate specific fleet configurations. Whether you choose a European operator or an international airline, you will find diverse liveries for each member of the A320 series.
Sound and Scenery Extras
For added authenticity, Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engine audio recordings have been integrated to recreate genuine spool-up and in-flight acoustics. Furthermore, the developer included updates to Hamburg Finkenwerder Airport (EDHI), providing additional taxiways and details that align with present-day airport layouts. These extras broaden the simulation’s scope, making taxi operations and departure procedures feel more realistic.

It could be a nice job if it would be actually usable... I don't have any doubt about the actual payware version but if you provide a demo I should be able to make an idea of the project in order to decide if I would like to purchase it. I would have spent 20 € on buying the payware version if I liked that but with no cockpit and no instruments panel, it's pretty hard to understand it. Cheers.
How long will the demo last?
yes this is game like sou much thank you
