Grand Canyon Photorealistic X is a photorealistic scenery with day / summer textures only, covering the whole area of the Grand Canyon of Arizona.

The scenery resolution is 2 m / pixel to ensure that all users benefit from the highest frames rates as possible in order to achieve a great experience.

For many users of the flight simulation series, it’s important to make sure that you get the most authentic experience possible. After all, if you just wanted to fly an aircraft you could get something a lot easier to fly than a flight simulator! Therefore, for anyone using a simulator they tend to want the most realistic experience possible.

For most of us, this typically means coming up with a way to improve the graphical quality of the game via the settings in the actual simulator. But even at maximum settings and with all your anti-aliasing etc. there will still be significant issues with the overall design of the game. This is why packages like the Grand Canyon Photorealistic X set are so useful.

By re-producing the entire Grand Canyon region with new textures and design styles that look just like the real thing, using realistic photos to help generate the image and then managed and optimized to fit the style within the simulator itself. This means that you get something that looks outstanding in quality and truly boosts the overall vibrancy and quality of the area around you, without ever compromising the rest of the game.

It can blend in with vanilla packages well, ensuring that you are left with a game that looks awesome and does not have a huge dip in quality as soon as you leave the Grand Canyon. Although the level of quality in the detail of the Canyon blows away the typical detail within Flight Simulator X usually, it fits in extremely well with the usual style so that it does not look out of place or strange.

The most important aspect of using a flight simulator is to ensure that you get as close to the real-thing as possible in terms of the thrill of the experience. Well, with the typical designs and fixtures in the game this may be quite hard to manage but with the help of packages and textures installations like this, it becomes much easier.

Taburet have released many different packages throughout the years, including parts of Italy and other sections of Europe not to mention huge swathes of America. If you feel that the quality of the design here outshines the vanilla version of the game too much, we can only recommend that you consider picking up packages like this to improve the overall quality of your games performance and design.

The best part about these packages is that they can actually improve performance! Instead of adding more detail that slows the game down, these packages are exceptionally well compiled so that it can actually be as easy, if not easier for the game to run the information that you have installed rather than the default files.

So if you are unhappy with performance levels and the realism of the vanilla FSX experience, you should really consider picking up this excellent photo-realistic texture service for the long-term, giving you much higher overall quality.
