Impossible Mission delivers a low-altitude helicopter police chase in FSX, built as a preview mission with dedicated custom scenery. High-resolution aerial imagery, handcrafted mesh, and dense static objects shape the route and atmosphere, and it requires FSX Acceleration for full mission functionality and emergency scenario integration.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1st Step: Move Mission Impossible Scenery Folder:

(IMPORTANT - YOU MUST INSTALL THE SCENERY FOR THE MISSION TO WORK!!!. It includes custom made mesh along with many static scenery objects. This mission also includes very high resolution aerial imagery for the backdrop of this mission.

You can move this folder anywhere you like - Preferably to: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Addon Scenery

Then You must go to the Scenery Library and select "Add Area" Then browse to the location you stored the folder. This adds it to the FSX scenery - make sure it is on top of the list.

Restart the Sim.

(You get to Scenery Library by selection "settings" on the main menu, then "scenery library" on the right.)

2nd Step: Move Mission Impossible Folder:

Copy and paste this folder into C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Missions\Emergency

You are set and ready to go! Mission should be found in the missions list.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D mission

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place mission files

    Missions go into FSX\Missions\ as a sub-folder. The folder must contain an XML file describing the mission.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
