How to install this mod

FSX / P3D mission
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place mission files

Missions go into FSX\Missions\ as a sub-folder. The folder must contain an XML file describing the mission.
  3. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

I have the same problem. The WAV file is corrupted. I wonder why an automatic installation is used by the developer. If the problem is not resolved, Fly Away would be better off deleting this file. The suggestion to delete the WAV files makes the mission worthless You can always fly this route from the gate, as this mission starts near the runway.

So to fix the flight plan:

    1. Do a free flight from Gatwick to Dublin (IFR, high altitude airways) and save the file.
    2. Navigate to it, and copy/paste it into the missions folder where all the other stuff is (including the RyanairpilotLondonGatwick-Dublin.flt file is).
    3. Edit RyanairpilotLondonGatwick-Dublin.flt to include:
      [GPS_Engine]
      Filename=IFR Gatwick to Dublin Intl
    4. Put whatever you called your PLN in there. Don’t put the file extension .PLN.
    5. Additionally, whatever waypoints your FSX comes up with have to match exactly those in the flt file.

Tried to install but get the message "Microsoft Flight Simulator X doesn't appear to be installed". I have the same problem with some other auto-install programs.

Sorry about the trouble with the sounds. I haven't been programming stuff for FSX for quite a while now. This used to work very well on my PC when I tested this. Just delete the sounds in the package as suggested by technop.

Same here, the sound WAV files are corrupted. I took a look at them and it's a problem with extreme clipping. Best to delete the sounds and use the msgs because there's no way to fix them.

The download seemed to go smooth. Yet when there is supposed to be voice I just get loud screeching through my speakers.
