Terrace Airport (CYXT) in British Columbia gets a chart-aligned rebuild with extended runways, corrected taxiway and apron geometry, updated roads and parking, repositioned VASIS, and refreshed navaids, signage, and lighting. Custom buildings, static aircraft, vehicles, and vegetation replace default scenery for a livelier airfield in Microsoft Flight Simulator X.
Situated in British Columbia’s scenic northwestern region, Terrace Airport (CYXT) serves as a key gateway to the surrounding mountainous terrain. This freeware add-on completely overhauls CYXT so that it aligns with current charts and real-world imagery. The enhancements incorporate extended runways, refined taxiway geometry, reconfigured roadways, newly added parking zones, and much more. This package is intended for use with Microsoft Flight Simulator X. By blending data from historical airport charts and satellite references, the developer, Robert Catherall, has produced an updated rendition that strives to replicate the bustling environment of Terrace.
Based on thorough analysis of the latest layout diagrams, this scenery project relies on ADE v1.39 (Beta) to introduce adjustments at Terrace Airport. Navigational aids, approach illumination, and apron positioning are all revisited, leading to a realistic recreation of both paved surfaces and surrounding infrastructure. To ensure accuracy, work references an effective chart date of January 15, 2009.
Within this release, you will find two BGL files that represent the revised airport layout and related scenery data:
This upgrade project was authored by Robert Catherall.
