This specialized repaint showcases the Yak-40 in a Rus Line livery based on the “SALON” (VIP) variant of the SCDS Yak-40 v1.3 package. It honors the distinct tri-jet design while reflecting the visual style of Rus Line, an airline operating from Sheremetyevo Airport in Moscow. The included self-installer streamlines setup, ensuring a straightforward process for those who already possess the main aircraft file.
Overview
Rus Line, known for its regional service based in Moscow, originally incorporated Yak-40 aircraft for short-range operations. This livery highlights that heritage with precise detailing. The Yak-40’s characteristic three-engine configuration and compact fuselage remain intact, while the Rus Line paintwork emphasizes the airline’s branding. The included textures are optimized for the SCDS Yak-40 v1.3 “SALON” release and will match cockpit configurations found in that version.

Installation
- Ensure you have the SCDS Yak-40 v1.3 “SALON” package already installed. The matching base package file (SCDSYK40.ZIP) is required.
- Locate the downloaded .exe file for this add-on. Run it and direct the installer to the main FS2004 (MSFS-2004) directory path.
- After installation, open the MSFS-2004 aircraft menu to confirm the presence of the new Rus Line repaint.
If you have recently applied patches to the SCDS Yak-40 v1.3 and discover the repaint missing, simply re-run the provided .exe file to restore the textures. This livery does not support the Yak-40K v1.2RC model, so please ensure you are running the intended version of the base package.
Important Notes
In this repaint, special rivet work integrated into all SCDS liveries remains present. These details enhance the Yak-40’s exterior features, emphasizing panel lines and structural realism. Keep in mind that any modifications or updates to the base model could affect compatibility. If necessary, reinstall the livery after making any changes to the primary aircraft files.
Credits
All liveries, including this variant, benefit from the artistry of Maxim Mysin, who crafted the Rus Line textures. Additional appreciation goes to Zbynek Pavlon, who contributed the distinctive rivet details that add depth to the overall appearance.
