This repaint faithfully represents the Iberia Douglas DC-9-30, rendered for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 enthusiasts looking to enhance their classic jetliner collection. Developed by Henry William, it requires the standalone SGA DC9-30 base package (SGA930.zip) by Erick Cantu and features flight dynamics by Fraser W. Turner. Iberia, recognized as Spain’s primary flag carrier, employed the DC-9 for short- to medium-range routes, illustrating the effectiveness of its narrow-body design and two-engined layout for efficient regional operations.
Key Highlights of the Repaint
- Authentic Livery: Presents the airline’s more modern color palette, maintaining historically accurate markings and placements.
- Detailed Textures: Includes exterior finishes for the Douglas DC-9-30, ensuring accurate rivet lines and realistic surface reflections.
- Optimized Model Compatibility: Incorporates seamlessly with the SGA DC-9-30 base model, employing advanced flight dynamics (V9.1.0).

Installation Steps and Configuration
- Acquire and install the SGA930.zip package from the Fly Away Simulation library.
- Open your Aircraft.cfg in a text editor.
- Append the following snippet, substituting “X" with the subsequent numerical value in your configuration:
[fltsim.X] title=SGA DC-9-30 Iberia NC sim=SGA DC9_30 model= panel= sound= texture=ibnc checklists= atc_id=N940N atc_id_color=0xffffffff atc_airline=iberia atc_flight_number=935 ui_manufacturer=Douglas ui_type=DC-9-31 ui_variation=Iberia New colors description=Model: Erick Cantu\nFlight Dynamics V9.1.0: Fraser W. Turner\n\n visual_damage=0 atc_heavy=0 atc_id_font=Verdana,-11,1,600,0 atc_parking_codes= atc_parking_types=
- Save the revised Aircraft.cfg file to retain these entries.
- Place the texture.ibnc folder into the corresponding SGA DC-9-30 directory.
- Launch your simulator and experience the Iberia livery in flight.
