This repaint for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 faithfully reproduces Lufthansa’s 1936 Berlin Olympics scheme on the Junkers Ju-52/3m, yet it omits the historical tail markings for regulatory reasons. Created by Carsten Pedersen, with underlying blank textures by Heather Sherman and an original model by Pierino Primavesi, it offers a striking retro look reminiscent of short-haul European flights during the mid-1930s. This add-on requires the freeware base package (JU52V0.ZIP or JU52BLNK.ZIP)—both are typically found in the Fly Away Simulation library. The real-world aircraft, first introduced in the early 1930s, became well known for its three BMW 132A-3 radials and corrugated metal airframe, which provided structural integrity and made it a durable passenger and cargo transport.
Historic Visual Details
This special variant displays the D-ALYL registration, referencing the classic Lufthansa color scheme used around the time of the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Designers often highlight the tri-engine layout and corrugated exterior as aesthetic hallmarks of the Ju-52. By respecting modern guidelines, no swastikas appear on the vertical stabilizer, so flight sim enthusiasts can immerse themselves in a historically inspired rendition without displaying prohibited insignias.

Required Files and Installation Steps
Before installing this repaint, ensure you have added the freeware foundation pack—either JU52V0.ZIP or JU52BLNK.ZIP—into your Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 directory. Place all extracted files into the Ju52_V60
folder, making sure that folder names remain intact.
